How do i put pictures into my messages on the board, and how do i get one of those little heads next to my name? Be gentle, not too much computer jargon or my brain will melt!

email me the picture you want as your icon

to post photo you need to get the url (right click, properties) and paste it in the "Optional Image URL:" box/ the image has to be on the internet already

Is that simalar to how you can put up links.

I mean the ones that you can just click on.

Not like the ones I use that are

For links:

If you type this:

<a href="http://www.2000ad.org/thrillpower/" target="_blank">Touched By The Hand of Tharg</a>

Then this will appear on the post:

http://www.2000ad.org/thrillpower/" target="_blank">Touched By The Hand of Tharg

(And the link will open in a new browser window - which seems to be standard for message boards.)

NB: This may not work if you use the Preview Message button.

Alternatively, you can add a single link to your post by entering the URL and link title into the relevant boxes below the POST A REPLY box.

For images:

If you type this:

...this will appear on the page:

http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/2000ad/mediumres/225.jpg" />

NB: Probably won't work if you Preview Message.

Alternatively, use the Optional Image URL, which allows you one image per post.

I'll have to see if I can dig the picture in question out of the back room - Fink emerging from a hole, covered in scut, IIRC it accompanied his entry in the Original GW Dredd RPG Gamesmaster's Handbook - and kick my disease riddled Home PC into shape long enough for me to scan the thing to disc.

Ho-hum. It's all a bit too much like effort really...

 Seeing as how I probably imagined the whole thing anyway, that could take some time...

You do realise that your icon will be reduced to a 32x32 pixel square? Even if the image you want exists it may have too much detail to look any good as an icon.
