I have no idea, but in general Michael D is held in affection here, the role of the President in Ireland is similar in some respects to the Monarchy.
I think he  represents what I would like to think is  good about the people and country. I realise that's very general and I may not be making the point well, but if I want someone to represent this side of the island on the world stage, he is the man.
Maybe its the same for a lot of Folk with the Royal Family?

Then again the class thing may be a bit different, I met Michael D one night in Galway, Tommy Tiernan said there is no famous people in Ireland, just a few that are well known.

Given the quality of the comic, I'm sure they will at some point.

I love Wildcat, (good to hear your'e reading FF!).
I didn't get it first time round but did pick it up soon after. Storywise its solid Eagle fare, with Loner and Kitten Magee and some of the shorts the strong storylines. Artwise its incredible, so on decentish papere your get Ortiz, Ron Smith, Redondo, Vanyo, David Pugh, some Massimo, Ian Kennedy, Lalia and more.
Well worth seeking out.

Prog / Re: Prog 2082 - Out For Blood!

An enjoyable prog. 2000ad needs a humour strip IMO to keep it grounded a little, and not to overstay its welcome! Survival Geeks is great fun, fantastic art and usually an entertaining tale to back it up, happy to see it return maybe a little more often.

Skip, bit wary, but great art.
Durham, brilliant, even though its a 'reboot' it has the old western Stront feel, looking forward to more.

Deadworld, best in the prog and Dredd, great opener. The Lynch droid is starting to grow on me, some really nice storytelling.

Strong prog, only one weakish, but still has potential.

Thanks Colin, looking forward to reading what you think of the content when you have had a chance to lol through it.  The look is all down to Richard, he really pulled out all the stops on this one.
Always listen to requests Wolly, the next collection will have a page or so from Oink.

Probably as good as you are going to get unless someone Like David Roach or Rufus can identify individual artists styles.

Yep Bear, it will be sold out soon enough I reckon, fastest selling issue yet.
Amstor is spot on with the postage, with size of the book, the price increase on postage and the fall in value of sterling to euro, it has hiked up the postage this round by about 50%, blame it on Brexit

Very little 2000 AD content, it focuses on 2000 ADs stablemates. I don't think you will be disappointed.
