DVD Arcade Level "Escort Duty" Bug?

Has anyone else had this problems on the Xbox.

I get a group of hostages. start the journey to the H pad, but if I take my eyes off them (Even to turn and fight the zombies) they dissapear back to the start point.

Now I know if they die I get the next 2 to move, but there are no zombies near them at all???
