The Enigmatic Dr X

For those lucky enough to live in Scotland, or slightly less lucky to own Sky Digital*, then don't make plans for next Friday night or the seven after that.

Still Game series 3 starts! The best British comedy in... oooooh ages (yes, better than the Vicar of Dibley) returns for another run.

Swearing!
Eating!
Drinking!
Old folk moaning about sex!
Illness!
Morbid fascination with impending death!

What more can you ask for in a sitcom?

Remember: Friday 7th May, 9.30pm.

* Did you know that you get all the regional BBC one channels on Sky? They are roughly around channel 930 (just before the pay-porn). This means you can get the (sometimes quite different) English/ Scottish programming. Why is this of interest? 'Cos in the words of Mrx X "That means you can watch Holby City on a Tuesday AND on a Wednesday"

My god, does this mean the whole country has the possibilty to watch the brain-death that is East Midlands Today... Truely civilisation will crumble.

Still at least you are safe from Tony Robinson's Heart of the Country or Waterworld... unless, horror of horrors, you can get Central as well!

The Enigmatic Dr X

You get every region. And, saddo that I am, I can confirm that the quality of BBC regional news is... consistent.

I must admit I'm still shocked every time I visit Scotland and see its local news is just like the proper news only covering Scotland in more depth with like propper newsreaders and not the totally trivial and boring rubbish 'news' presented by two egotistical charisma free non-entities who think they are on day-time.

Oh - now whenever I'm in Scotland it seems that most of the news programmes fill their time with football trivia. My sis (in Glasgow) has turned into one of those 'Why oh why oh why' people - she sits and times how much news is reported compared with the fitba'.
