News / Tooth in the Grauniad
24 February, 2012, 12:34:14 PM
Just spotted that there's a nice little article on Tooth's 35th birthday on the Guardian Website today (not sure if it's in the print edition)

Find it here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2012/feb/24/2000ad-35-future-comic

16 November, 2010, 02:42:21 PM

Looks like it will be a print to order afterwards

This is wonderful news.

Prog / Prog 1692 - Inflamation Station
03 July, 2010, 10:25:11 AM
Am I the first?  Woo

Dredd takes an interesting twist - Looks like
Sinfield's for the Jump
but where will that leave the election?

Red Seas keeps on rolling steadily on as Dancer looks for allies.

Damnation Station finishes this week.  Leaving us with more that a couple of questions.  Look forwards to it's return.  There's a short article from Molcher about it as well.

Savage continues to be mad as a bag of Badgers.

And Stront is still a work of genius.  And a familiar face from the small press makes a cameo.

Prog / Prog 1669 - A toast to London's Criminal Kingpin
23 January, 2010, 10:19:07 AM
Thread bagged.  So there's some joy out of being up early on a Saturday :D

Cover is a glorious D'Izzy Sticklebak

Nice, if risque Droid Life

Dredd finds his dragon, or rather it finds him,   Stickleback starts to put together pieces of whats going on as does Ampney Crusic.  And things start to go very wrong in Dante's campaign.  There's a line in the narration that considering what happens at the end of the episode has a chill down my spine.

As for ABC Warriors, it seems that there is a direct correlation between the beauty of Langley's art and the insanity of Milll's scripts!

Over to you

Games / PS3 Plunge
19 August, 2009, 09:32:29 AM
With the announcement of the PS3 Slim I'm going to take the Plunge and grab one as soon as is feasible (i.e. cash and availability willing)

However, what else do I need?  Second controller?  What games are a must have?

Other Reviews / Casefile 13
29 July, 2009, 08:13:11 PM
Just picked up Casefile #13 in Forbidden Planet.

Some good stuff, much of which I've not read.  And a heck of a lot of nods to what's coming soon.

Only complaint, my copy has a flipped page in Dead Juves Curve.

Spotter this over on The Guardian and thought it might make sense to point some informed minds at it.

Have at it  :D

Megazine / Meg 277: Racing for her life
14 October, 2008, 10:50:37 PM
No Meg thread yet?  Mine arrived Saturday but cause I was away only got around to reading it tonight.

Interesting end to Ratfink.

Tank Girl features a special guest appearance by Dee Dee Ramone

Black Atlantic rumbles on

New Anderson with Boo on Art again.

And a couple of text pieces I've not read yet.

Bagged Graphic Novel is a Richard Elson centric piece with Lawcon and Word of the Law, both from the when I wasn't reading the meg so were of interest to me.

Next months novel should interest the Monarch.

Off Topic / Freaky Friday...
26 September, 2008, 03:24:29 PM
No, not the film but weird occurrences

My Brother-in-Law's wife was due her first child next Thursday.  For some reason last night I decided to put a bottle of champagne we've had lying around for a while in the fridge.  My thinking was so that it would have plenty of time to chill before next week.

We got a call at 6:30 this morning that I'm now an uncle.

I know it's just a coincidence, but still, unsettling.

Any one else?

Off Topic / Retro Army Surplus help
05 December, 2007, 12:56:00 PM
Oddball request, but having just failed to get what I want in Camden Markets, due to the overuse of bulldozers in the area, I thought someone here might know...

I need a Red Army Jacket - think Napoleonic Wars, Liberteens, Sergeant Pepper, etc - by close of play tomorrow (Xmas Party outfit).

Any ideas where to look in London?

Off Topic / Memory

Anyone else have a crap memory?

I seem to have literally forgotten how to remember events, especially after a few drinks...

Just been told that at a friends wedding last week the bride's family had a series of photo's taken with me, which I have no recollection of.

I thought that I'd done quite well regarding alcohol consumption that day, but am now wondering what else I'fe forgotten...
