So, just guessing here, Darkside is going to be kind of a primer for the upcoming Breathing Space?  Since they both take place on Luna-1?

I will pay up the nose, out the nose, and through the nose for more.  Just as long as they get solicited at all.  Because IMPORTING, online, them will cost way way more and be a huge hassle.

Nice, I still would like some information on if these Trades will be solicited through Diamond under Rebellion.  I'm pretty sure the "Euro" trades never are, but damn it I NEED MORE.  Even if it is just more Dredd and Rogue Trooper.

Just to be clear on something from that artical.  Prog 1450 is going to be a "Jumping On Prog" right?  I ask because it is being Solicited in the Diamond Comics Catalog stateside RIGHT NOW, and if it is I want to get pushing it to all my reallife and 'net friends to check it out.  Try to convice the local shops to order it and the next few Progs to test the waters.  I'll even makes signs!

But only if I'm sure 1450 is a jumping on Prog.

How about an Animated Dredd show?  If you could get Sky One on board and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim sector it could be GREAT.

If those Judge Dredd Casefiles books contain what you say they contain I'm all over them like a hobo on a ham-samach.

I'm really stoked for the project myself. I have no history with these characters and I'm not a big Moore fanboy, but the consept has me very intrigued.

I'm squinting here, but I don't see a DC logo anywhere on that cover mock up.  Is it on the physical copy?  Or do UK edtions have the added coolness of no DC logo on their copies?

I've got it on my "To get list"  right after ABC Warriors and Sinister Dexter.

The nice thing about DC shitcanning these is that now there are a finite number of them and I can justify buying them all.

QuoteAnother interesting note for trade geeks - all of the Dreddverse books to date (the Dredd trades, Shimura, Red Razors, Waugh and Anderson) have the same shade of red on the spine for easy identification.

I like that alot too, the trade dresses on all the DC/2000AD books have been topnotch, the matching color cordiated spines are a big selling point.

Just currious are all these over priced hard covered low paged counted "European Trades"/Rebellion Trades from the "Narrow 2000 AD" era?  You know, before 2000 AD Prog 2004 when the book was narrower then it is now.

You can't really put that in the DC/Rebellion format trade, because it's too square, it'd have to be a traditionaly american sized Trade.

Course then you have a book like Shakara, where the first book was narrow and the upcoming second book will be current Magazine Shaped....

Different stroks I suppose, I don't really care for Sandman at all and Preacher was terrible.  Transmetropolitan was SOLID GOLD though, of which few current books can touch.

Fables is probibly one of the best comic series I've ever read.

I'll agree with the assesment that the core heroes, Bats and Supes have stunk on ice for awhile.  But DC as a whole has a much much stronger line up, with more smart stories, then Marvel does these days.  The DCU books, Flash, JSA, Wonderwoman, Aquaman, and others are better then they've been in years.  Books like Adam Strange and Rann/Thanagar War have shown a renewed interest in dormant characters.  The big "event" Countdown has actualy not sucked out the gate, it's titles, Rann/Thanagar, Villians United, Days of Vengence have infact all been good standalone stories in their own right.

The Vertigo and Wildstorm line ups are stronger then ever with books like Y-The Last Man, Fables, Ex Machina, Desolation Jones, and Tom Strong.  DC is the company to BE right now, they're the movers and shakers of the comic world, while Marvel decends into stagnation. Really the 2000AD reprint botch is the only big blemish on an otherwise solid company.

As too the logo, I would have prefered a 3D'd Bullet, make it look more "modern" but keep the classic look.  This new one is just too "Space Age" and suffers for the same reason the new Fantastic Four logo did, until old logo came back.  To much curve and chrome, not enough classic organic feel.  These kind of things need to be HAND DRAWN, not CG.
