Not sure why you can't express how you feel about any art and design even if you did find it disgusting! Artists and designers put themselves out there which I respect immensely but if you haven't got a thick skin by that point then sheesh wrong business!

This.

Whilst I don't agree that the artwork is 'disgusting' surely the OP is allowed to state an opinion?
Personally I find the artwork of David Hockney childish and amateurish and a bit crap but that does not mean I do not respect the views and opinions of those who like and even love his artwork.
One man's meat is another man's poison and all that.
Have we become so thin skinned that even the most mildest of criticism is now an automatic affront?
For what it's worth I am a huge fan of Ezquerra (as it is his artwork that is being discussed, not Bolland's) but the cover of Case Files 5 (US) does not represent his artwork, blown up out of all  proportion as it is.
Sorry for any consternation caused to Ezquerra, his family, friends, and fans but that's my opinion.

Seems like a fair few of us have failed to get their thrill power on the appropriate day.

Mine didn't turn up, as standard when there's an uber cliffhanger from the previous week.

Sharkbah.

Mine failed to materialise as well.
Would have been a total washout if my copy of Judge Dredd #1 from IDW hadn't arrived but it did.
Fingers crossed for Monday. :'(

Firstly, shouldnt they have given me the opportunity to cancel or accept, not just refunded without asking?
SBT

Yes. That is what I would have done.
Can't you ask them to sell it to you anyway?

ALL NINE!

£50? Hmmmmmm, how does 'fuck off' sound!?

Sounds like something I would say before pissing myself laughing.
Bought one copy for £2.50.
That'll do. Especially as the insides are all the same.

I've always found that the thrill was in the chase.
Took me years to get a complete run of "Creepy", "Eerie", "Vampirella", "Famous Monsters of Filmland" and "Mad". Finally did it about two years ago and they just sat there.
Sold them in the end for a tidy sum (although probably nowhere near what I paid for them). Just realised I would never take them out of the boxes again.
I am re-collecting the first three through the archives books though.
The only things I collect and keep now are complete collections of 2000 AD, Megazine, and Fangoria.

They should do something similar for DC. It's a good way of attracting new comic book readers that either a) don't have comic-book shops or b) don't want to venture inside one. I know when I was growing up the only access I had to stuff like Spider-Man and X-Men was through those British reprint mags like Exploits of Spider-Man and Essential X-Men.

As a subscriber to the Ultimate Graphic Novels collection I did receive a survey from them suggesting that very thing and asking what sort of stories and characters I would like to see in it, so you never know.

If there is going to be one it could be this coming January.

Classifieds / Progs 77 & 78 for auction.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181019026984

As the auction states, these are incomplete but the Judge Dredd stories are complete.

Also throwing in a coverless copy of issue 8 and a tatty, but complete copy of issue 73.

Just seems wrong to throw them in the bin (but I would like some cash as cash is nice  :D)

Although what I would suggest is that H&M are happy to bind up to 2 and a half inches of material with minimal gutter loss meaning you could probably do 50 issues per bind at a push (28 pages per issue?).
So that greatly reduces the amount of volumes. Which is what I am planning to do.
I went with up to 48 issues on 2 of my Batman binds and this worked out fine (I wanted to keep storylines within one bind, Knightquest and Knightfull altogether which was a big bind and ended up having not gutter loss pretty much).
