A couple of things I coloured for Gibson Quarter...

Tom your colouring is like... RIDICULOUS.

I love the muted tones and the VERY SLIGHT GRAINY TEXTURE. Also all the flashy glowy bits and blurry bits. Really well done - subtle enough to not overwhelm the lines. There was a period where I wanted to e-mail you everything to colour! :O

Aarrrggghhhh don't let Jim see the crossbar I's :). Lovely colouring there lads, can't wait to see more.

Haven't done much computer colouring, so here's the ones I'm quite happy with.

Maybe this one could be dedicated to actual samples (which we could all discuss) rather than just a general discussion? I like the idea of gathering them together in one place.

So much for that idea.

I can split it off again, I am just after the merging/splitting Nectar points I get...

I wouldn't mind - ! My intention was a "show us your colouring" rather than "let's generally talk about colouring" I was going to call it "Does my colouring look big in this?" But that DOESN'T MAKE SENSE AT ALL.

I've just kept the original name.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Just signed up to colour Dave Hitchcock's latest project 'Paradise Mechanism'. Well, first I was on board, then not because of the deadline change, then Dave talked me into it. Gonna have to do 26 pages by the end of June, plus put in a token presence at my full time day job of course. It's gonna be a tough month!

But on the plus side (and I think I'm ok to announce this as Dave has mentioned it on FB), the strip is going to feature in David Lloyd's new ipad-only comics project. Yep, that's David Lloyd of 'V' fame. Shit me!!  :o

And I was nervous about 48 pages for September - ! (actually that's still quite a lot and no David Lloyd in sight) - well done Soffe you're a living legend good luck to yer.

I've recently been experimenting with A PHOTOSHOP AUTO FLATTING TOOL. <-- hmmmm

Cheers dudes! CFM - what is this tool of which you speak? I must have it! (no, really, I must have it or I'll probably go insane by the end of June!)

I use the BPelt plugin.

It's pretty useful - though the results are never perfect and require quite a bit of cleaning up. It's only worthwhile for specific drawing styles though - for open lines or scratchy rendering with lots of crosshatching it's probably not too much use.

If I were to try and give an example - it's probably good for Philip Bond's lineart, not so much for, say, Steve Yeowell.

Nice one CFM, another winner. You've got a grand littel team going on there  :)

That project I mentioned a few weeks back - colouring a strip by Dave Hitchcock - well first I was colouring it, then I wasn't but now I am again. Basically, the deadline was brought forward to the end of June, and I really didn't think I could colour 26 pages in a month. But then I thought, f*ck it, it's a chance to work alongside Dave and David Lloyd too, and I went for it. Never worked so hard in my life - full time day job then colouring every night until 12pm-1am since the beginning of the month. The end is in sight now too, so I'm chuffed I said yes. Pretty pleased with the results, and this is my favourite page (if it looks rough at all please remember to bear in mind that each page was done in a single night!)

MGB i rairly swear for effect but that looks fan-fucking-tastic!
