Came across the end of a programme with this guy on today and was stunned at his brilliance.
All from memory. Who says Autism is a disability (comment not to demean Autism as a disability).

Peace is a lie, there's only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

Wasn't he on Blue Peter years ago?

Yes he was on a few programmes. I remember seeing him years ago as a nipper on a programme about savants.

I used to teach an autistic lad who had to draw Top Cat or Huckleberry Hound before he could do any work. It was amazing to watch - he'd whizz around the page doing a dot here, a line there then then a piece of the hat, half a tongue, a whisker on the chin, all seemingly random marks on the page. Suddenly, the bits would just come together and there would be the perfect drawing... however, if he perceived the dot of a whisker to a millimetre out, he'd rip it up and start all over again.

A fascinating glimpse into the autistic mind.

Pete, your story is kind of equally unfortunate and awesome at the same time.

I wish I could draw Top Cat...
