My fault; I read "have come into effect" as "have just come into effect," which it doesn't say.
I would just like to register some enthusiasm here as this sounds great to me. I have really enjoyed the novellas and will snap up the Dredd ones on my Kindle as soon as i notice they are available. The year 1 and 2 ones have been great but the Rico one might be my favourite so far. I haven't yet tried the Anderson ones but should probably do so while I wait for this.
Michael Carroll announced on facebook today that Judge Dredd: Year One will contain ten pages from the first chapter of Judges...

2033... I'm curious about the time between and would have no insight as to what future editions in the Judges series might contain.

I finished it this morning and enjoyed it very much.
There are 2 characters that do not directly appear in the strory but only in the memory flashback parts and these are Fargo and Gant. Has Gant been mentioned in Dredd before or is the mention here his debut? I am expecting that we will hear more about him in other books of this series.
There's a Spender J Gant in the Origins Prequel, the Connection. Wagner/Walker.
