Cheers! That's amazing, the paint layering is incredible.

I love this style of fantasy painting as well, wish we would see more of it. Although I do really like Simon Davis' work on the Brutania Chronicles.

Thought it could be watercolour and ink, but I'm not sure.

Hey Guys,

Anyone know what medium Slaine The Horned God is painted in? Can't seem to find out anywhere....

Hi Draavhen,

Another newbie here! I actually took the opposite approach to you and jumped right into the prog in the middle of a run of stories....its probably fair to say I was a bit confused for a while.

I've just started reading the Agency Files for Strontium Dog and would really recommend them, I'm enjoying them much more than I thought to be honest. I know you've got a lot of Dredd but I've just read Titan and it blew my mind, so maybe thats something to consider if you want to read a newer Dredd story.

I would echo what Tjm86 said and say its really worth having a look at the earlier Jaegir stories. I really loved them and they were a great look at the 'bad guys', the whole book just oozed cool in my mind.

For the ultimate collection I'm just ordering the back issues of the one I want as I couldn't really justify another subscription, so maybe that's something to consider?

Anyway, it's cool to hear from another 'newbie' who's enjoying diving into 2000AD as much as me!

Hey. Would it be possible to get full posting privileges? I'd quite like to join in with the prog reviews and such. Cheers! :D

Welp...I feel a bit stupid. Didn't cross my mind at all to look to see if they were selling back issues. At least I know now, ordering one is much easier! Cheers guys!

Hey All!

I wanted to ask what people's experience of cancelling their subscription is? I've subscribed but I basically only want the first issue (it seems like it's the only reasonable prices way to get slaine: the horned god). What are people's experiences of cancelling after just one or a few issues? They seem big on giving 28 days notice and 28 days to dispatch as well...

Thanks everyone! I ended up picking up Agency Files vol 1 and 2, looking forward to reading them. This will also be my first foray into classic black and white 2000AD.

Steve Green, the film looks great I will defiantly give it a watch!

Hey All!

I've been really enjoying the Strontium Dog story in the current progs and wanted some tips of other great Johnny Alpha stories to read? Looking at the back catalogue I get a bit confused to be honest...

I think Jaegir echoes the best of Dredd, politics and action mixed together perfectly. It's always great to learn about the 'bad guys' as well. Does make me want a story about a Souther soldier as well, or how Nu Earth is talked about on other Souther planets.

Also, I don't seem to be able to comment on other posts yet.....

Hello everyone! I started reading the prog about a year ago and basically wanted to talk about the thrills to other people. This was spurred on by reading Jaegir: Beasts Within and thinking "Man that was good, if only I had someone to discuss it with!"
