A great prog.
I read my copy from front to back...man, that was hard this week with the ending of the first Dredd!
Savage - this story is amazing and I love it. Another great ending to another 'book'.
Zombo - crazy and wonderful as always!
Sin/Dex - the past couple of years the story had been quite confusing (especially as it's usually months inbetween them), but with it ending like that it leaves it to be like it used to with random and very funny one-offs as they hunt down and just kill people again. (I have liked it though)
Also Krill Tro Thargo is an actual award!!! I haven't been on here (2000AD online) for a while so didn't know about that!

Can't wait until next week as two of my fav stories return, Low Life and Ampney Crucis. (stick in Kingdom and Stickleback and my brain would definately explode from Thrill-Power overload!!

wow thanks for the support!
to answer some of the questions (what I remember)...
I'm 27
she didn't know she was pregnant. She has one of those implant things in her arm to stop her getting pregnant which can also stop your period for a long time/makes it incredibly irregular.
When we broke up it didn't end well. I don't know if anyone read it but last christmas eve my girlfriend of 6(?) years left me. The girl that is pregnant was kind of a rebound relationship that ended before it really got going. when it ended it didn't go well and she cut all ties with me this is the first I've heard from her since march!! And nowI've started seeing my original girlfriend again!
man, it's like a fucking jeremy kyle show!

oh, and about getting drunk, I'm one of those straight-edge punks that doesn't drink or do drugs! so no escapism for me!
And I wasn't overly looking for advice, though it's always welcome. I just started a seperate thread as (at the time) wasn't sure to put it in either spugs or drokking fantastic.

Spoke to an ex-girlfriend yesterday.
She's 9 months pregnant and about to have my baby.
She had no idea, and this has been a massive shock to everyone.
Quite numb. Don't really know how to deal with this.

we shall see...

I've been playing this again over the past few weeks. Finally completed it 100% Originally completed it with 99.4%!!! Which was quite annoying. Turned out the bounty hunting missions are worth 0.1% each. And killing a bear with a knife was fucking hard! final score 6-1 to the bears!!!
I don't have xbox live, but I hear the zombie version will be released on a disc like the GTA expansions. (here's hoping!) One more game on the christmas list.

It's not so much that, as the fact that when you pull one out, you discover that it's anchored to the back of one of your eyeballs...

lol! my eyes water just thinking about it!

Also this has been said before...but cyberleader -I'm dyslexic and your posts really don't help. I spend ages trying to work out what you say! Sorry to hear about your laptop, maybe your new one will have a spell checker.

Lovely psychedelic cover by Neil Roberts this week.

Nerve centre - Tharg is no longer screaming at me, but is pulling a weird expression that seems to me that he wants me to do something -yet I'm not sure what!
Also 'thrills of the future' has Necrophim previewed. -I know a lot of you hated it, but I really enjoyed it, so that added with the return of Kingdom will make a great lead up to xmas.

Dredd. like King Trout said 'TITS'
a nice little one-off that work well, but I wasn't sure if that was meant to be Dredd again at the end. I assume it was, but his chin didn't look right to me. (sorry Andrew)

Defoe lots of added intregue into this wonderful zombie filled steampunk world.

AotW - still doesn't really do it for me. it's ok.

Low Life - highlight of the prog! Love it.

Dante - not many characters this week (phew!) so was finally able to 'get' everything going on! (yey for stupid me!) nice to see John Burns back on art duties (no offence to Simon Fraser -his artwork is very good too)

Overall a pretty sweet prog!

Oh but one thing that did standout. See that picture of Tharg above his editorial really doesn't fit with the tone of the piece does it. Looks like Tharg is going to have a right old rant and it starts as ever

"Borag thungg earthlets. I am the Mighty Tharg and I bid you welcome..."

Looks like he should be saying

"Quaequam Blag! I Tharg the Mighty have got a Rigellian Hotshot for some grexnix..."

... maybe Tharg is angry at me....

I thought he should be saying "Get off my land!"

Great to see 'Kingdom' in the 'thrills of the future'. This is one of my favourite strips in recent years, so really looking forward to it.

Dredd - enjoying this a lot, good pace at artwork for the story.
though can't belive no one remembers Riggs go back to Skinner's apartment.
Defoe - After last weeks questions, this week there is no doubt it's a zombie croc!!!!!! and as previously mentioned that silouette panel is lovely. A very interesting end to this weeks instalment (that I don't want to spoil for you), but does make me suspect (please don't read this name if you haven't read it yet as that last panel is amazing!)
the Ravenmaster
Age of the Wolf - this is ok. It just hasn't clicked with me yet, but just like Defoe the last panel has me intrigued (so maybe that is it clicking with me?) so maybe next week I'll finally love it like most of the rest of you.

Low Life - mainly plot points and talking this week, but still loved it. (Would I love it so much if D'israeli's art wasn't an amazing thing of beauty) but once again Dirty Frank has some great lines (note to self - must remember to use buying and feeding an imaginary cat as an excuse next time I don't want to do something!)

Nikolai Dante - I don't remember the whole cast for this strip, so the past few weeks and end of the last arc didn't have that much effect on me. On the plus side it looks like next week it'll be back to bloodthirsty action that anyone can enjoy (even simpletons like me!)

overall a very good prog!

Books & Comics / Re: Mark Millar's CLINT
07 September, 2010, 05:09:12 PM
Ah CLiNT...
well it was rubbish.
well, that's not completely.

It started off bad, with Miller saying Grandad had Eagle, Dad had 2000AD, and you've got CLiNT!
DAD!!! I'm 27 you knob! and at least 2000AD doesn't just publish re-prints for people who don't buy comics!

Turf was really good. but I already pick that up! I've had the first couple of issues already! I hadn't read Nemisis before (but it something that's already out as well! -so I could have) But I did like that one.
I must be the only person who didn't see the film or have read the comic of Kick-Ass! so 8 pages of not a lot didn't thrill me that much.
Frankie Boyle was on the cover and that's because he's written a comic. It's ok. We'll see where it goes. But with him being on the cover I'd expect an interview -why do a comic? influences? etc all the bog standard stuff, but no. We get Jimmy Carr!
And then the awful, awful 'features'?
who thought it was a good idea for a MILF 'article'?

Bluuurgghhhh!

Don't waste your money. Just spend 10 minutes in WHSmith to read the comics.
