No amount of tax paid by billionaires would make the slightest difference to the government's debt under the current system. Taxing the rich to pay for the poor sounds good, but it just doesn't work like that at the moment, unfortunately.

I don't think anyone blames you for anything, Krombasher - I certainly don't. This thread rises and falls periodically as the conspiracies come and go.

Anyone who lets a thread like this upset them is probably too fragile to be here anyway. Chill, bro - it's all good and truth is subjective anyway.

Ooh yes - I second that idea.

Also, will you be adding a chatroom? I've heard rumblings about this possibility for a while now...

Politics is just theatre, it means nothing and changes nothing. Anyone who thinks they're voting for anything more than red or blue is just deluded.

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?

Finally got myself a copy of "The Complete Maus" off Amazon after it's been on my To Buy list for yonks.

I'm about half way through Book I - just can't put it down. Nothing I can say would come close to doing such a work justice. If you haven't read it, you're missing something.

Heh.

The cold water bottle experiment went very well indeed. The only downside was that sleeping with what was basically a large chunk of ice wrapped in a towel reminded me of what it was like being married.

...keeping cool in bed on hot, sticky nights?

I have an experiment planned. Even now my hot water bottle is filled with cold water and languishing in the freezer. Will the rubber object to this and suffer a catastrophic perishing during the night? I'll tell you in the morning...

Thanks guys. I reckon it's the circuit board too. Also, the minute I pegged the washing out the Heavens opened. I fecking hate wash-day.

I think manual's the way to go. What make & model's yours, Peter? Would you recommend it?

Although right now I'd be happy with a dolly tub and a mangle.
