Film & TV / The Punisher Movie - New Version
26 January, 2005, 04:14:10 PM
WHAT IN THE HECK IS IT???????????????????????????

I watched it last night and could hardly sleep afterwards because I was so confused. I watched it late and consumed a whole bottle of wine while watching it so now in the cold hard light of day it feels a bit like a dream...was it really that bad?

Did they really attempt "comedy"?

When the bullets started to fly at the family get together and a woman in loose fitting "pants" fell over screaming, did Tom Jane really look up and out of the window and say "mom?" in such a way that it sounded like a giant ingot had fallen out of his mouth?

Please somebody help me, my head hurts.

Film & TV / Blade 3

Has anyone else seen this yet?

Saw it last night and its a real mixed bag. Thought it felt a bit like a late eighties american cop show, but it has its moments. Terrible soundtrack but quite funny in parts.

What does everyone else think?

I just get DNS errors. It times out.

It works fine on my wifes laptop using a different provider.

Sorry to be a pain but any help would be greatly appreciated - I'm running out of options.

..we have a Dredd story that looks set to exploit the potential of the Dredd universe along with all of the moral and political questions it throws up. We've needed an intelligent Dredd story for a while now, there's nothing worse than those "funny" one off stories, especailly the ones that try and satirise contemporary cultural phenomena or trends...

General / Sinister Game
02 May, 2004, 07:19:25 AM
I've been playing the latest Hitman game all night and it occurs to me how cool it would be if you could get these guys to do a Sinister Dexter Game, I'm sure if anybody could they would be able to make a decent game based on 2 thou characters...

I just had a really bad flashback to Halo James, or something, "I'm hanging out with Halo Jones" (Sorry.)

And of course theres Anthrax with the Dredd inspired "I am the Law" following line "You wont F?@k around no more!" Keep on moshing guys.

Can anyone think of any others? Are there any? Wendy James from Transvision Vamp springs to mind but that happens quite a lot anyway this time of night.

General / Prog related mishaps
27 March, 2004, 02:46:03 AM
Once, before I was a Subscriber and had to "leave the house" (overated)in order to buy an issue I did so and promptly left the newsagent with my latest prog clutched in my sweaty hand (it was the one where Danny Frank's friend dies from shrapnel-related head injury, he was on the cover) my right jean pocket bulging (my change)when all of a sudden a gust of wind came from knowhere, wrencing it from my hand and dropping it in a puddle. Cold sweat just thinking about it.
Anybody else had a similar experience ?

Has anyone else seen this yet?
I've just got back from seeing it and it's REALLY DAMN GOOD though 28 Days Later has obviously had a big impact in the states!

Good Shaun of the Dead preview as well!

If you go, make sure you watch the end credits all the way through as well.
