I'm looking forwards to Scanner Darkly - it might be the first movie to really capture PKD. Blade Runner is wonderful but not nearly nutty enough and without the same philosophical focus.

I got a biography of PKD for Christmas and, before reading it, I just didn't realise how mental he was. It seems that a lot of his later books are based pretty solidly on how he actually perceived the world at the time! It's rather sad that somebody could be so mentally ill for so long without ever getting help. Having said that, he also seems to have been a very clever and manipulative chap and was able to talk his way out of institutions on a couple of occasions.

Anyway, well worth a read if you're a fan. It also features details of Cary Grant's predeliction for acid!

I'm about half way through the same book and am enjoying it alot.

I've also just finished reading Galactic Pot-Healer and would recommend it.

The official Philip k.Dick site, link below, is well worth a look.It's got something like 600 different covers to his books, pages from his Exegesis and all sorts of over stuff.
