Announcements / Re: 3A Toys/Rebellion Press Release

That's disappointing, I backed the 1/12th line as an entry point as the 1/6th line was too expensive to get past the wife, although the Judge Dredd model nearly turned me. Shame they don't do second runs.
Then to make matters worse the wife tossed my 1/12th mongrel plastic moulds in the bin just recently as well. Saved the box before she took care of that.

Anyone who has these have both good and bad feelings associated. Mine is opening up the aforementioned 1/12th Mongrel and splitting the 2 plastic molds and breaking his chin ring in the process!! The horror! Managed to glue the tiny ring in place and you wouldn't even know it was broke. After hearing everyone else's issues I stopped opening the rest except the lawmaster.. :o masterpiece
What are your memories, good and bad? Please share.

Anyone with any news from 3A, looking distinctly quiet on the release side of things.

What factors make the Alpha model so expensive versus say Sam Slade? The popularity, number of parts, material type??
More interested in him versus a Tharg or Sam Slade. Didn't stop me getting Sam either.

I've never had any issues with the chin, its Dredd all day if not specifically Bolland Dredd. I dont remember where the talk of a new headsculpt came from, its been that long since it was first shown back in Feb as 'coming soon'. I've just held the original release up against the promo pic and I cant tell any difference other than AW Dredd looks like he has a five oclock shadow.

I dont know what to think with this line any more, Gregory isnt engaging for whatever reason. He did reply to my last comment on the 3A forum but didnt answer my questions. I was curious to know where the 1:12th shotgun went, was it coming with Apocalypse War set and if so would it still have the Stub Gun. Not official secrets or anything and something he used to be happy to talk about.

We were supposed to see 1 release per quarter in 1:12th to keep momentum going. Its been 18 months since Mortis was up for pre-order, no Judge Giant, No sign of Tharg, Ro-Jaws and Alpha on hold due to costing issues, no date for Apocalypse War Dredd set. No answers to questions.

If they were always like that I'd say fair enough but we used to have a reasonable dialogue which was part of the fun of collecting their figures. Maybe it was causing too much hassle and they decided to stop, maybe we upset them with comments, in my case the constant worrying :P

I want to see the line keep going strong for as long as 2000ad will have them (3A's position last time out). I hpe to be all kinds of wrong and see new pre-orders up soon but I'm not filled with confidence atm.

I am guessing that the line is not going to be putting much out going forward. They will probably get to Fire and Anderson then it will probably die off. I assume the sales have just not been enough to keep it going at a reasonable pace as we have yet to see Anderson, or even Giant who would just be a simple change from the Dredd figures. They got a Johnny that is to expensive for them to make, and that is probably the second biggest series they can pull from. At this point I expect it to turn into Judge Dredd and friends line and not a full 2000 AD line sadly.
Where did you come across that detail regarding Johnny Alpha and potential expense of making him?? 3A Boards or speculation?

Great thread, I'm working back through the whole lot (Page 704) and drawing up a list of movies that everyone has recommended.

Be interesting to see what you've picked out from here if you fancy sharing?

The Guest 2014
A soldier introduces himself to the Peterson family, claiming to be a friend of their son who died in action. After the young man is welcomed into their home, a series of accidental deaths seem to be connected to his presence.

Better than I expected, Dan Stevens was very impressive in it and is truly odd yet mesmerizing in some of his scenes.

Great News on the follow up We're Wolves, the scene between the vampires and wolves was hilarious!
Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi are involved in other recommended moves Boy, Eagle versus Shark and Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

What We Do in the Shadows 2014
A documentary team films the lives of a group of vampires for a few months. The vampires share a house in Wellington, New Zealand. Turns out vampires have their own domestic problems too.

Really great comedy that nobody knows about, well worth a watch....vampires and quirky New Zealand humour that works so well!
Hope they follow up with a sequel!

That's why I can't figure why anyone would buy blue variants that never really existed. Wouldn't waste my money on them. Standard version only for me.

Where's the best place to get both Dredd and lawmaster in black from at the best price and ship to Europe namely Ireland? I'm having trouble resisting!

Glad it didn't, they were quality items by Termight Replicas. Very happy to have a spare badge as I would have been reluctant to part with it.
The buckle was a really lovely piece but was better as part of a costume than a display piece. Happy it went to a cosplayer!

Anyone still waiting on their Judge Death??
This was the last tracking transaction nearly a month ago!
2015-10-31 03:48
Guangzhou, shipment

Getting nervous now!
Ordered my Dredd and lawmaster as well.

Yup - i ordered Death through OneSixthBruce, and still waiting :-(

Sneakee - I know others in Ireland have received theirs, so you might want to contact An Post and/or 3A CS about it.

And Chris - hate to be the one to break this to you, but I'd advise you get a refund and try to pick one up somewhere else. OSB have gone a bit off the reservation and a lot of people have lost their money. Not saying they might not come through, but unfortunately I think it's probably unlikely from what I've heard. I can keep an eye out for you - if I see any at non stupid prices I'll let you know.
Thanks Mikey....doesn't appear to be on the An Post parcel tracking system and the the tracking service that 3A provided in the email seems to back that up. Better give An Post a ring on Monday. I'll be mega disappointed if it's lost.
:) Finally arrived today from Bambaland!
