Well we'll move away from Dredd world for a moment ... well in part at least and look at some metallic menaces who want yuo to do the big job of voting for your favourites and cast the others into the furnance of melted robotic doom. Which of this robotic rogues do you prefer as your enemy of choice?

Pop the names of the two characters you'd like to progress into Round 2 in a reply to this thread and I'll count up early Saturday 25th July.

Blackblood (ABC Warriors) - https://britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Blackblood
Mekquake (ABC Warriors) -  https://britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Mek-Quake
Toby (Halo Jones)  -  https://britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Toby
Call me Kenneth (Judge Dredd) - https://britishcomics.fandom.com/wiki/Call-Me-Kenneth

What is all this nonsense? Well the 'rules' (ahem) for Round 1 are here:

And there's more about the structure of the tournament here:

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Straw Dogs beat hot digital dogs, as Blackblood dispatches Toby and drinks his oil. Friends and chums, we shall agree to draw a veil over the terrible things Mekquake does to Hoagy. Yup!

Greg M.

As you can tell, I got my robot narratives mixed up. Teach me to vote before I wake up properly.

Toby because that was probably the first great twist in 2000AD (other than Probe dying because you don't expect one of the original lead characters to die) and it was well executed.

Mek-Quake because he's one-dimensional but multi-bodied.

Blackblood and Mek-Quake.

How the hell did a silly kids weekly comic come up with some of the most iconic characters of my whole life??

Technically that's two kid's weekly comics - Mek-Quake first appeared in Starlord while Blackblood appeared in 2000AD </pedantry>

Missed a chance to say:
"Technically that's correct - the best kind of correct!"

Why oh why oh why oh why oh why does this forum not have a 'like' button? (And of course, a shaking fist and "whyeyeoughta" icon)
