General / Re: Glimmer Rats
29 January, 2007, 08:16:41 PM
I enjoyed Glimmer Rats a lot.

The art, for me, was great, though I guess it might not win over anybody who didnâ??t like Mark Harrisonâ??s style already.
Also, it was fun seeing different actors being used as the characters; give it a nice Hollywood blockbusters feel.

The story was solid and ended well, but was certainly open-ended. Iâ??d love to see some further stories.

Books & Comics / Look and learn in The Guardian.
08 December, 2006, 08:23:07 PM
I came across this on Chris Westonâ??s blog and thought Iâ??d post a heads up here in case anybody was interested.

It looks like The Guardian will be giving away free copies of a special preview issue of the Best of Look and Learn, tomorrow (9.12.06).

Iâ??m not sure but I take it that it will be an insert in the newspaper. I couldnâ??t find mention on the Guardianâ??s website though.

The thing thatâ??s really cool is that it will include the first 2 page issue of The Trigan Empire, a comic strip Iâ??ve wanted to read for ages.

Anyway the link to Chris Westonâ??s blog and his post about it is below.

Books & Comics / Dan Dare:Prisoners of Space
23 March, 2006, 03:44:36 AM
Just found on the Titan website that the next Dan Dare collection's being released.
Hopefully this means that they are going to be carrying on with the different british comic collections. And not, as had been mentioned on the board, stopping due to preceived poor sells.

Found this preview on the official turtles site and thought you might like to see it.
I think the art looks great, especially on the Golem.

General / Playjam Judge Dredd game
30 September, 2003, 10:43:48 PM
has anyone else seen this on Playjam yet?
It takes the form of a top down shooter, with Dredd facing off against zombies.
If you want to find it and have sky digital just go to the screen that show the online shopping and games and choose Playjam.
