If been doing that having off loaded over 200 graphic novels and still lacking space

I'm not doing this collection but am still having shelf space probs too. Have done a first sweep of novels I won't read again or CBA (can't be arsed) reading anew. Unfortunately I've inherited my brother's library and there's a good couple of shelf loads I'd like to keep! And my comic pile is boxed under the bed awaiting purging too

Dredd fights stage left pursued by Bear, great fun and a good bit of Dreddversity. Liking the new sidekick 

I'm also delighted to see Brink back. Talking heads, but talking sense.

Aquila: Thought I'd missed an episode or turned two pages at once, trip tropping along at a fair old pace, nice change of pace from recent slogs in the prog.

Vex is charging along... not sure where or why, but I'm enjoying the ride.

4/5 for me, with the prog on a major up tick, admittedly from flat lining

I had hoped for a lot more from  "Judge Dredd: A Penitent Man" tbh, possibly reading too much into the title?
The issue you listed didn't even register with me, but agree with a load of 'em.

The SJS and 'bad/bent' Judges are a troupe that needs new life but this wasn't it, the corruption at the heart of the system, almost addressed Maitland remains too.

I appreciate elsewhere there has been discussion about why every story ends with the re-set button being hit as far as the Justice Dept is concerned, and Dredd can't take the Long Walk 'again' but I do hope at some point we get a game changing shift.

A much improved prog.

Dredd – Enjoyable punchy fighty bits, great Dreddisms and old man stuff. Intrigued by the mission. Art very good, so many people could have lost the thread here, but this is an easy flowing read.

Boogie – Another five pages of talking heads? how did we get here? This is not the beautiful House of Tharg, this is not a beautiful life...

Aquila – Great to see him and Kirk back, Never sure about the exposition dump while fighting but it moves things along, avoids the trap FTBoogie falls into and gets us to the meat of the story..

Prime – oooooh Vienna!

Vex – Stretching my limited brain power, but I'm enjoying the ride.

Maitland's Revenge? Business as usual? looking forward to that.

Do you mean the police interview bit?  That was the framing for the whole series from episode 1.

If you mean,  what happened with the characters,  the writer is killed by Yvonne by accident.  She thinks it's the director.    The villagers look like they intended to make a sacrifice but it goes wrong because of Yvonne.    The old lady at the end was the extra who was painting the tree and has lived in the village ever since.

I haven't read the first two series of thistlebone so don't know if any of this ties back to previous events, but from picking up bits and bobs on here it seems like each story is effectively stand-alone.

Original Rogue leaned heavily into that World War II notion of a just war, with the Norts depicted as an entire army of SS-type fanatics, and the Southers more or less the American GIs. You could still have top brass baddies on the Souther side.

One of the reasons why Jaegir is so good - it muddies the waters.

Rogue Trooper gets criticized for its naming conventions: the guy in the bag is Bagman etc. It seems too unrealistic, they say.

But a man called "Bankman-Fried" just got 25 years for running a crypto-Ponzi scheme. The most famous case before that was Bernie Madoff (who made-off with other people's money). Lou Pearlman stole everyone's pearls. Gerald Payne got 27 years, which had to hurt. Don't even get me started on Charles Ponzi!

Dredd The action hero Dredd kind of grates with me now, I like the clipped, precise and economical Dredd, but that's just me, would have been better if Dredd had worked that out with the lift himself.

De Marco - Not really catching my attention except that scar seems way disproportionate.

Black Museum was a  good short.

Hookjaw  working well but would do better in a GN.

Under Siege: Just the movie reworked really?

Devlin Waugh enjoyed this, and chortled at the thought of the more gammon elements losing the plot about this.

Harrower Squad Enjoyed the set up and the policies alluded to made the trough to get here worthwhile, but can't see MC1 would want with an ethnically cleansed central belt? Especially when they have vast areas that are post chaos day cleared themselves, and are short of a bob or two currently.

 

Been trying to mount a TV in the living room ...
