Well from early on that result seemed to be in do doubt but the longer list is very interesting.

Once again massive congratulations to Dan Abnett and thanks to Broodblik.

No massive surprises there, except American Reaper which took quite a lot of heckling from the review threads as I recall, while Lenny Zero, hailed as a big hit at the time, has clearly fallen out of fashion.
I do love that one Low Life story from the Megazine, with amazing Rufus art, didn't think that'd be enough to push it into the Top 10 most beloved Megaizne strips.

Hard to see Calhab Justice or the Straightjacket Fits troubling the top spots if we openend this out beyond the Rebellion years  :D
(although I would amend my vote to inlcude Anderson and Armitage, and we can have that fun debate again about whether or not 'America' is a Judge Dredd story, or is its own thing.)

broodblik

America is well I am not sure but it is branded as not-Dredd but still it is Dredd. Hopefully that does not sound like too much a sitting on the fench

I never got splitting America from Dredd. Not including it in the Case Files was an error, IMO, at the time. (See also that strip about the kid and the garden.) Although I will point out you're all wrong, because XTNCT is at #20, and Ordinary didn't crack the top ten. (I'll happily nod along to Lawless taking top spot though.)

I remember that with American Reaper. I have to say though, it read much better when I went back and treated it as a collected volume. Really quite good. Plus, for me at least, the art worked really well.

I think with Lenny Zero, wasn't there an unfortunate step plot-wise that went down like a lead balloon.... and forums have long memories it seems.

Many thanks BroodBlik for running this. Fascinating results! Although admittedly after the top two, which I think were fairly dead certs!

I was a little surprise to see Devlin below Koburn, and even the Dark Judges, but it was good to see such a strong top 16*.

*I quite liked Numbercruncher!

Thanks for doing this, broodblik.

Interesting to see Anderson (which I sometimes think of as the second thrill after Dredd - at least from an editorial perspective) coming in fifteenth. There's a sense in which she lives in an alternative MC-1 to Dredd and perhaps they work better together. (Not that fifteenth is awful in a strong field.)
