No, not really - but there is a whiff of this at the moment



if anyone says anything even mildly critical or questioning, which feels like just a flipside of the naysayers.

Still, overjoyed to see it's getting a very positive buzz - especially after the script leak, the Raid comparisons etc. -  hope it translates into solid ticket sales.

Yeah, the Blade Runner meets Clockwork Orange quote only came from Dod Mantle describing how he was lighting and shooting the visual texture but that's part of the 'story' too: how the Meg, the violence and the City Blocks comes across visually.

The criticisms so far haven't been about anything substantial.

As far as the comments that the story lacks substance, social satire is an inherent part of all Judge Dredd tales, even the throw away light ones.
