Conclusion? No!!!!!!!!

Goddammit. Please let this be a typo. I've seldom enjoyed any strip as much as I enjoy Brink.
Yes, it’s pretty much a trilogy. Book 3 “High Society” debuts soon. But the world is so rich, we’ve found we have strong ideas for at least three more volumes after that. We’ll see how the audience reacts. It all builds into one, big ghastly picture, whichever characters are ultimately around to witness that. We’d love to continue exploring the Brink.
I burn everything that History's Greatest Monster™ writes before I can read it

Also does the fact that Counterfeit Girl has a trade mean we're not getting any more of that as well. Shame as I felt that strip had other places to go and would loved to of had it back.

I'd certainly prefer further CG stories to further BC stories.
This is an e-book listing. Hopefully it will be collected later in a "non-volatile storage medium" (- Blank Reg).
Bigger Than Biggs (Judge Anderson: Rookie Book 4) (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bigger-Than-Biggs-Judge-Anderson-ebook/dp/B07H32HSZ9) - Abaddon Books, 3rd December 2018.
Mega-City One, 2100 AD. Psi-Judge Cassandra Anderson’s second year on the streets as a full-Eagle Judge.
There’s trouble brewing in the Eee-Zee Rest; biker gangs, kidnappings and riots are all pretty standard in Mega-City One, but the block is off-limits – the owner’s just too clean to investigate.
Seconded to another division, Anderson gets suspicious: something’s terrifying the residents, and it’s not your average perp or bouncer. When biker Vex returns a kidnap victim and asks Anderson for help, the Psi-Judge knows this is the opportunity she’s been looking for.
But the thing that lurks in the basement is something new. Something greedy. Something hungry.

when is the next Slaine and defoe starting again?
is there a specific reason sinister dexter is not being collected completely ?
Why aren't we getting more judge dredd case field per year and why doesn't it atlas collect years worth ( around 450 pages)? are they not selling that well or is really time consuming to produce and two a year is what they are able to pump out?

The Leopard from Lime Street volume 2 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1781086788) - 176 pages, paperback slated for 13th June 2019.
Sadly it seems the second volume of Leopard of Lime Street may be paperback only. If so it's another instance of the follow up volume not being hardback like the original.[/list]
The big news for me is that Absalom Volume 3 is touted as it’s last, meaning that the next story will be it’s final story. :o :(

Sad news... I hope we get another series from the same world at some point. Absalom and Cabs have been brilliant!
Well, it managed to get a resurgence in the 80's Eagle. Compared to Action / Tooth, aye it is quite tame. Worth reading though? I would say so. Not exactly full of the violent pain and death Tooth fans are used to but enjoyable nonetheless.

To be honest I think its a good thing. Its always had the sense of something that that a single finite story to tell and it will be nice to have it wrap up as a solid chunk of goodness. So many writers have so many plates spinning its nice to see some get wrapped up.
Much as I love Ian Edginton's work right now he could well benefit from doing this as well. Which from his recent thrillcast he might be aware needs to happen.Having re-read Helium vol1 recently in a Meg floppy: yep.
...and in the bagged mini-trade, the third in a series of translated collections reprinting the French D-Day graphic novel Operation Overlord by Michael Le Galli and Davide Fabbri!
Presumably, the joint Weston/Goddard credit on Unearthed means that's another longer story, along the lines of The Small House, and we can look forward to the pleasure of Rob Williams's company in a way we haven't for a few years.
It seems that the latest series of Brink is the last (From Amazon): “Humanity is on the brink in the thrilling conclusion to the smash-hit epic“

Oh I'd not clocked that. I wonder if Dabnett and Tharg have. Hope they do something with the strip in the Prog to mark it. I'm not holding out any hopes for a nice trade or hardback collection being viable alas.
start my first subscription starting with prog 2113
Got it mainly for Dredd.
Other than Harvey what other prog post every empire falls trade do i need to read to get caught up with Dredd?
Thanks

I always struggle to get into Sin/Dex and this might help me to start from the beginning (it started in my slumber period away from the prog).
Well it always helps starting at the top but worth remembering it takes a while to really get going (well if you ask me). First stories I don't really like. Next to longer form stories, with Simon Davis art - Gunshark Vacation and Murder 101 are pretty good but not quite there. There is then a series of shorts after that however which are just superb.

"The Small House" - this was actually quite recently from prog 2100 up until 2109. You will also get the benefit of the start of Brink.

Both Ladykiller and Small House is actually the end of long running story lines. Both these stories are excellent.

Argh. Deadworld’s switched formats. I do hope there’s a limited hardback available on the store, to match the first volume.
The original solicitation was HC, which is probably why Amazon still has that listed.

So stoked to see that the next Brink is already being worked on according to 'Thrills of the future' in the latest Thrillmail - all that talk (by Dan Abnett as I recall - possibly badly) of the third story being a conclusion has gone - which the end of the last book strongly suggested - WAYHEY!

For those who enjoyed Laura Bailey's take on DeMarco in the Summer Special last year, Tharg's given permission to share a sneak peek of the series we've created for the Judge Dredd Megazine which should be starting in July.
Unless I'm mistaken, this is the first time that Thought Bubble competition winners (we both won in 2017) have been paired up for a series so it'll be interesting to see how this is received!
Nice to see a new Hope... story trailed in the Thrillmail. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and I was starting to think it had been knocked on the head.
how does that man have time to do like 5 thrills between the meg and the prog plus all those us comicsDon't forget all the prose work he does for black library and the like.
Okay interesting one in the solicitations for July
Interesting mix of old talent and new-ish (to Tharg, at least) over in the Meg, something I find most encouraging.

What, a makeover with a faux-superhero outfit, a convoluted plot involving the mekon, a fishy princess and an old rock garden ...
Or a cliffhanger that is left for so long no-one can remember what the original story was anyway?
Do anyone know when Defoe will return ? Accordingly to the March solicits it would have been March but we are already in April.

A few panels from the Dredd strip "Control" by Williams/Weston coming in August
(https://i.imgur.com/FQkQUIq.png?2)
I thought Dredd might be disguising himself as SJS. Then I noticed that guy is as skinny as a Dark Judge.
That's Judge Pin, we've seen her before, she's a woman.
when are judge pin, new slaine and new defoe starting up?
Gerhard better come back and put down Pin himself and then get his own series following him in the wastelands
Troubling news about Wagner. :o
I hope he writes the story in which Hershey finally dies. I wouldn't want anyone else to write the demise of such a long-running character.
That panel is from the previous series, in prog 2055. Lee shared it on Twitter in leiu of being able to post any new artwork, but there is indeed a new series coming.
Troubling news about Wagner. :o
I didn't say anything of the sort. I only said I'd be sad when he finally packs it in.
You're often quite aggressive to other people on this board. I respectfully suggest you tone it down a tad.
I'd invite you to take a trawl through, I dunno, the last three years of my posts (you can find them here (https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?action=profile;u=524;area=showposts;start=0)) and come back with enough examples to show that I'm "often aggressive."
Or are you saying that Wagner should literally work until he dies so that you can read Dredd strips penned by him? That seems a mite… I dunno… selfish?
Troubling news about Wagner. :o
...was a mite uncalled for.
For people looking forward to Zaucer of Zilk returning, here is an interview with Brendan McCarthy and on the last point he talks about Zilk:

This absolutely. Fever is such fun.
If you a fan of McCarthy you can always try out "Dream Gang" (written and drawn by him).

I love all of the above, although I'm not sure I'd recommend them as ripsnorting narratives. McCarthy's solo work is best enjoyed as decompressed variations on his Artoons (http://tearoomofdespair.blogspot.com/2017/04/brendan-mccarthys-artoons.html); a series of wonderful images, ideas and evocative phrases.
All true, but god bless the editor who let McCarthy do his take on Kirby-era Dr Strange cosmic shit

Tharg is clearly making the most (http://https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2019/06/exclusive-a-sinister-superstore-launches-in-everyt.html) of INJbot whilst he still has him.
Although if his star rises, perhaps that’ll boost Brass Sun sales and mean we’ll get a hardback follow-up to the lovely first volume that came out – *gulp* – FIVE years ago now. Mind you, we’d need another 10 episodes or so to fill it, unless it was a skinnier edition (like the upcoming Deadworld one is going to be – 96 pages compared to the first book’s 144. And, yes, I’m still going to buy it, obviously).

Some dark and foreboding tales coming our way this winter.
Can't believe we're getting series 4 of Brink already. Sweet.

Jovis. I've just Googled 'Joseph Linsner' - I wouldn't recommend doing so at work.

Neil Roberts did pert better for Zarjaz.
But as they said do not judge a book by its cover
Didnt he do some of the later Quality reprint covers?
I’m no fan of Linsner, but I seriously don’t see a problem with that cover besides the reason you hire Linsner to begin with.
Maybe mixing him up with (Steve) Fastner & (Rich) Larson?

And the great recent-ish covers by David Aja and Chris Burnham too. A shrewd tactic deployed by TMO.
Presumably it's working, otherwise TMO wouldn't keep doing it. As much as I like some artists, I can't imagine buying a copy of $insert-DC/Marvel-title-here just because the cover is by $2000AD-artist.
- Graduation Day by Gordon Rennie and Tiernen Trevallion; a young man takes a step into a wider world.
Intrigued by the Rennie/Trevallion story. Maybe an epilogue or spin-off from Absalom?

Peter Hogan returning to the Prog! Good news! Resident Alien is great.
Yeah I liked a lot of Peter Hogan's work in 2000ad and love his Robo-Hunter.Yep. Hogan/Hughes Robo-Hunter was solid, and really nice to see after the hideous nadir that was the Mark Millar take.
