It was a good one to end the series. But the title was a bit of a giveaway

Ballad of the Salty Sea is out there now. I have only read the first few pages so far, but it's looking like the set-up to another beauty.

I did like this week’s episode, but I thought the ending was a little rushed. It could have done with bit more space with the main character as she came to terms with her condition before the final confrontation with dad.

I'm afraid the Dredd didn't work for me. The art was lovely - I am really warming to Jake Lynch - but I found the two parts didn't really fit together smoothly. Part one set up an investigation into the staff in the lab with all sorts of issues of internal politics within the team to explore, and part two just rushed to a big baddy outside. It would have worked nicely as a longer tale with more time being spent investigating the team and the rogue psi judge slowly emerging, but as a two parter I thought it was a little rushed.

That was bloody scary. All new to me, but bloody scary nonetheless.

comiXology are doing the set of Locke & Key as a bundle for £10.99 gbp.

I've read the first two volumes via comichaus but this is too good an opportunity.
Now there’s a strong chance I’m being thick, but I can’t see the bundle on that link. I can see the individual books all reduced, but no bundle, and the books add up to quite a bit more. Can anybody help an idiot find this bargain?

Nerd that I am I listened to the Inside Inside No 9 podcast this morning. It would seem that Pemberton is a fan of the game (Blackburn Rovers apparently), but Shearsmith is not.

And we are back for season 5. I am not a footballerist at all - I don't know one end of a ball from the other - but I really enjoyed that. Good to see it back.

Bold, stunning telly. The pressure is on for the final episode to land it though.

You say you have the sequel, and I expect you to be gushing about it tomorrow, but did you know that there is a third part too? Do yourself a favour and add that to the reading pile.

That's gorgeous in B&W. I had missed the Brass Sun nod on the completed cover.
