I've seen Dredd about a 170 times, but what the hell... I'll watch it Saturday.

"I'm a misogynist and if you explained it to me nicely I would have changed, but you didn't, so even tho you have explained it I still am one"

This is getting a bit tiresome, and petty. People are more inclined to take on board your points if you can do it in a respectful manner (some people aren't aware that they were being disrespectful to begin with until someone can politely point it out to them). If you start with "hey, you're a cu#t!, but let me enlighten you" all they will register is "you're a cu#t" and refuse to read on. Diplomacy! if you have the intelligence (and maturity) to change peoples views, then do it. Or you can continue to insult others you feel are beneath you and the vicious circle continues.

Actually there was, two views that didn't exactly come together in the end, but they didn't resort to becoming venomous. Agreeing to disagree. It might not have been the out come that you wanted, but they were respectful of each other to the very end, and thus took a step further forward.

This is a excellent example of people putting aside their biases and actually trying to understand (and learn from) other peoples points of views.

It’s actually one very patient woman explaining to one man espousing a view not dissimilar to the one which you posted a quote supporting (but which isn’t actually your view… or something) why he’s wrong and the penny eventually dropping.

Yes Jim, but she is not being obnoxious and rude about it. I would be much more inclined to listen to a person like that. I'm not a stubborn person, I'm willing to listen, and learn from others, and if I am wrong about something I'll happily admit I'm wrong.

Ah, yes..."let's debate them.  It will force them into the light, and everyone will see their opinions for what they are, and they'll grow into better people and the world will be lovely."

It's gone well so far, hasn't it?  People who complain about " leftist SJWs" taking over the world, we frequently see them change their minds just because someone took the trouble to debate them, don't we?

nominate these 2 heros for kTTs (link)

This is a excellent example of people putting aside their biases and actually trying to understand (and learn from) other peoples points of views. Extreme, knee jerk reactions aren't always necessary, the "it's us verses them" attitude isn't helpful either. In the words of Alan Partridge.... "Jurassic park!" (I'm referring to the link)

You don't know what "my side" is.

It's kind of funny. You started with quote, full of misconceptions about main topic caliming that this quote is perfect explanation of your views, but few moments later you resort to playing the victim and retracting from previous statement. We know what is your side since 10 February, 2018, 10:07:20 pm.

So what is my side? I agreed with one quote, you can tell what my side is based on that? I don't agree at all that I was playing the victim. It's very easy to accuse a person who is out numbered during a debate of being a victim, when all I was actually doing was explaining myself and responding to people. I honestly don't believe I was being misogynistic, or a bigot. I was actually a bit taken back by some of the reactions, obviously people felt I was being those things, but I honestly didn't think I was, maybe naivety on my behalf. But making the argument that when people are faced with views that they don't agree with (or even find repugnant)then they are totally justified in responding in what ever way they see fit, instead of actually being liberal and listening to other peoples views is a bit tit for tat. But yeah, it was getting very school yard at times.

You don't know what "my side" is. I just think it's a little too easy to call people god knows what these days, and resort to labels because "they" disagree with me. People can blow things out of proportion, and become highly sensitive because they see bigotry everywhere they look. But fair points made, I'm not stirring the pot.

I didn't expect any of the points you made, just a constructive debate, and as you put it... to explore other peoples views on the matter. Emotion doesn't have to be brought in to everything, that's a choice. Agree to disagree, where's the harm in that?

You could apply that logic to all sides. So what? everyone just gives up and continues to tear each others throats out? There have been plenty of cases of people who have changed their attitudes towards racism and homophobia for the better. However, displaying Juvenile bully tactics (that's not aimed at you) and encouraging others to join in isn't productive at all.

Take Daryl Davis for example, a black man who spent thirty years befriending the kkk "when two enemies are talking, they're not fighting".

I get a bit tired of people claiming to be progressives but then display such venomous behaviour. (again not aimed at you).

You're entitled to call people anything you want, of course in most cases there'll always be repercussions, and it's not productive at all. Ultimately this is why the world is so divided right now because people can't debate anymore with out becoming hostile and rude. If millions of people share views that are deemed as wrong, or dangerous, it would be more productive to challenge their views in a mature manner and try to get them on your side. Calling people fucking idiots or morons will never achieve that, it will just make them more disgruntled and less inclined to listen to you.

This is a comment that was posted on the 2000ad facebook page. Couldn't have put it better myself.

Whilst I'm all for the empowerment of women in society, I've always felt that an important part of 2000ad's soul has been it's anti establishment, fuck off to the mainstream attitude. So in buying into the 2018 year of the women token societal gesture is in essence, conforming to popular cultural opinion and pressure. Doesn't seem very punk/fuck you, to me? Thoughts?

Well, absolutely. We straight white males are indeed the last true minority group and I for one am sick of being oppressed by those black lesbians who have been running the world for so long.

Does someone have to be in a minority group to be oppressed? it's like we're playing the oppression olympics here. Equality should be about treating everyone equally, not "you're in a majority group, so shut up and take it". Why does one group have to be demonised so another can have equality? after all, that is the mentality of the sjw. Your comment suggests that if you're a white straight male you have no right to feel like you're being oppressed, which I am sorry is absolutely ludicrous.

Another victory in the hard left vegan Leninist cucktard sharia law SJW cultural Marxist purge of the straight white male from all creative media.  Next they'll be hunting us like dogs and we won't be safe in our own homes.

This! it's becoming the norm to bash white straight males, especially in the world of show biz, it's a bit unnerving. Watching James Cordon hosting the grammys was beyond cringy "tonight we have the most diverse lineup, and me... the least diverse host in the history of the grammys", and that's just the tip of the ice berg. I have absolutely no problem with diversity, I couldn't give a shit who writes the prog, but obsessing about diversity instead of focusing on what we have in common is starting to piss me off a bit.

I like this group, I love 2000ad, and it's nice to have that in common with everyone. I have absolutely no problem with anyone in this group, but it does at appear at times that if you're not singing from the far left hymn book, you will get pounced on.

Has there been any word on when they plan to announce the cover issues, and when we'll get them?
