I might come along and join you for a lentil or 2.

Well I blasted through The Punisher over the weekend and thought it could have been a couple less episodes with the story it told but apart from that it was great.

I had no idea there was a Charing Cross in Glasgow - how did it get it's name?  The one in London was named after the saxon word for 'bend in the river' with the cross from the Eleanor Cross erected in the 13th Century...

This is exactly the sort of quality banter we have on these nights (when they happen).

I'm game but have commitments in diary already and the 8th is already oot for me I'm afraid.

PS:  Now that Mr. Burdis is no longer with us, could someone else from down south post on this thread about how useless we are at organising things?

As far as I know its named after the London one. Is the 24/25 good for all then? I actually have no idea if I can make these and as I have the flu at the moment cant be arsed checking.

Books & Comics / Re: The Walking Dead Comic thread

I know it's technically off topic, but does anyone else feel like the TV show is completely dying on its arse lately?

Yes I do. Infinite bullet fights and no-one of consequence ever in danger. The zombie makeup actually looks a lot cheaper and the CGI tiger is not at all convincing.

Although the woman who remembered they are in a zombie apocalypse just in time to have her throat ripped out was fucking hilarious.

TBF though the comic has been pretty shit for a while now and I only buy it out of habit.

Inspired by a recent phonecall from Dr X after he tried to run me down at Charing cross I'm going to give our annual pantomime another go. Who's in? We can then in-out-shake it all about and cancel until March later on.

I suggest an evening in December in Slouch on Bath street

The Death of Stalin - Mildly amusing and quite horrific in equal measure.

Just finished season 2 of Stranger Things and its a worthy sequel that the whole family thoroughly enjoyed.

And yeah the Deuce is currently my favourite show too.

I'd be happy to see a new series of The Thirteenth Floor in 2000AD.

I've not had a chance to read this yet but would always welcome more 13th floor!

Well just ordered one of these with Mario & Zelda. That should make for one happy child at Xmas.

And me when I *test* it beforehand.
