I haven't posted here in a few years. But a 'charity collection' from someone has physically attacked Tharg's droids and who happens to be an art dealer that Carlos would have nothing to do with. It's up to you, people.

Aw bless.

Well, If 2000AD are going to support bullying on this forum and its moderators are going to deliver such insulting responses I will not be renewing my subscription to 2000AD.

I think the whole situation is disgusting.

That was to Flint's charming post, not you.

Wonder if it will also have colour centre spreads and covers? Either way I'm buying.

The 2k Facebook droid said it does.

You both seem to think that whatever anyone says will impact on or be absorbed in any way by TS...

Laugh it up, you guys - but this'll totally win the Turner Prize next year!

dammit but I just like Rufus Hound. He's jolly. The idea of Williams & Hound being an immortal double act is a good one - hope this isn't the last we see of them!

Maisie Williams - always hanging around with the Hound :-)

Oh well played! I hereby award you 100 internetz!

BSG: the insurrection storyline was good. And Olmos was never anything but brilliant, but mostly it bored the tits off me with it being ponderous, self-important pish. however... the final line, while being part of an atrocious cop-out, was good.

At the risk of sounding a bit Thryll Seekyr... Sky Captain had Angelina Jolie dressed n leather and wearing an eye-patch.
I'm not sure what else a movie needs.

Imagine if this thread wasn't about scifi it'd sound so insane:

-hate dogs
-wtf is the deal with clouds
-fuck trees
-sea is TOO wet, I don't get it

That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm merely observing that there are somethings that are held as self-evident truths that a person might not accept but feel hesitant to voice for fear of revealing that they have poor taste. I was hoping the thread would be more positive, in the vein of "these are things I liked that assembled geekdom is sniffy about" rather than things we hate, but this is an internet forum for SF fans…

Cheers!

Jim

In that spirit, I shall return to the original post as agree that John Carter is a great movie - lack of tits notwithstanding.

I got bored of the Walking Dead after the first two seasons but had loved the first 4 volumes of the comics TPBs, its still must see TV for the Mrs however.

I have never 2001

Season 2 bored the tits off me, but I recently watched season 3 on Prime, and it is a real improvement.

Not a massive fan of the Lord of the Ring films, the second one is ok and I found the books to be long-winded, boring Horseshit!

I like the movies, but the boos are terrible. Tolkien was undoubtedly blessed with an amazing imagination, but he was an atrocious storyteller.

Last Action Hero. Received wisdom seems to be that True Lies is the only Arnie action comedy worth a damn. Sorry, this is both really funny - "I've just killed a man. I did it on purpose!" - and a better paean to the joys of film than any of that Cinema Paradiso horseshit.

Yeah, it's a film that holds up remarkably well. It just had the misfortune of going up against Spielberg's dinosaurs st the box office.

I have never 'got' Red Dwarf. It's just like ever other turgid BBC sit-com - IN SPACE.
