Yes, unfortunate news about Rene Auberjonois, he seems to have been one of those actors who made any character he played a memorable one. :'(

Very sorry to hear of Kevin Culler's passing. Deepest sympathies to all his friends, families and the many fans of his art.

Well, the recent polls suggest a Conservative win. I'd put a big emphasis on the 'Con' there. So, folks, Rexit will be happening, and that isn't so good for several Industries. On a happier note, I read that over 2 million had signed up to vote many of them under 35. Will we have a 'Youthquake' surprise on Polling day?

Icing - I'm presently having enormous fun operating a three ton digger. Bliss!

At last...you have achieved class consciousness and are now tearing society down!  ;)

Here's Grace Randolph's review. Compares the lead to Karl Urban's Judge Dredd so bonus points there. Some might find Grace's delivery a bit ...weird.

Here's a link to a TV programme that attempts to explore a grim part of the human condition.

Bolt-note: adjusted the title a bit.

Unfortunate news. I, like others, watched it on Channel 4 and enjoyed it very much. Gay Byrne appeared to be a natural interviewer, charming, witty, and he didn't just have celebrities. I remember one poignant interview with the only survivor of a massacre in Northern Ireland. Genuinely sobering stuff. He occasionally upset the Church and the Authorities, which can only be a good thing in my book.

2nd extended Trailer. Looks like 'Borg and Machine Rights' are the themes of this first season.

Our best hope is that the rich can find a way to save themselves so that our species can endure for a little while longer in a Martian dome or a reinforced bunker somewhere.

Don’t worry P. Bear - they’re already on it. This is an excerpt from ‘This Is Not A Drill’, the Extinction Rebellion handbook.

Genuinely terrifying. Our amoral Overlords wish to save themselves rather than help the rest of us. As for the coming environmental disaster when you're a psychopath every day is much like any other. Who cares if a billion die so long as I'm okay, Jack.

There are reports about Kevin Feige being tipped to helm the Star Wars franchise. Is the Marvel maestro the right choice?

Disney all ready announced new SW films for December 16, 2022; December 20, 2024; and December 18, 2026.

Blimey, I had no idea of future films. That's interesting news. I think there were stories about the Knights of the Old Republic possibly becoming a series of films. Revenge of the Prequels!

There are reports online that the Production team shot up to six different endings. I guess you could say having a selection of alternative finishes is a good idea, but perhaps it shows a lack of faith in the material. I hope that isn't the case, and I don't know for the moment about any reshoots as such. You'd think they'd start with a pretty strong narrative, to begin with, that pointed toward a particular conclusion. Disney has made it clear that after this Film Star Wars movies are going on a hiatus. It might be that this Movie is the last film in the Star Was saga ever made if the Disney Plus TV series do well.

Chaos being normalised. Johnson doing Chinese-style state broadcast instead of attending prior commitment at a democratic investigation. Parliament literally shut down on a whim (and there’s nothing in law to stop this being done for, say, the entire parliamentary term, because our constitution only works if those in charge play fair). Gearing up for a general election where a worst-case Brexit will be forced through by a majority government backed by a third of the electorate.

This is all going swimmingly. Isn't it?

Yes, it's horrifying. Bo-Jo acts like his ogreish pal Trump, a President with questionable legitimacy. More division, less cohesion, almost invites disaster. Maybe that's the scheme with chaos and social breakdown on the streets people tend to look for a 'strongman' to save them. We all know that would favour conservative forces and their Law and Order spin. The chilling times we live in.

If that had happened to me JBC, I'd be on the Whisky for sure. Stay safe, and I admire your good reactions under pressure.[Er, no pun intended] I'd have blubbed and phoned the Fire Brigade.
