This one wasnt a kids programme but i used to sneak out of bed to watch it because i thought it was brilliant

oddly Wiki says Into the Labyrinth and Children of the Stones had stuff in common "The solo voice that sings the haunting theme of Into the Labyrinth is Lynda Richardson, who also sings the main melody line of the Children of the Stones theme. Patrick Dromgoole was the executive producer and Sidney Sager wrote the music for both of these series."
strange they both are shows that spring to my mind
