"He would be in his early mid twenties early thirties in the first comic."

If he was 18 in 2079 then he would have been 38 in prog 2, and he's 68 now.

"...finally caught unawares one day, falling foul to some random scumbag who's never caught."

Like they did to the first Judge Giant? Reader outcry over that at the time makes it a bit unlikely they would do that again. Alan Grant apologised for it in an interview somewhere.

He falls asleep in the bath and drowns.

"That last panel, is it one of those new fangled car ignition buttons or is it actually someone with a remote detonator? "

I think it's actually the ignition key, if you look very closely.

The No-Go Job was a preguel to the Final Solution, so it makes sense that they should both be in the same volume.

I hope Mayor "Ambrose" becomes a recurring character, and isn't caught or unmasked too soon.

"You'll have to throw it in the bin and get a new one, then."

The prog or the sprog?

The entire point of the "Author's Note" helpfully displayed above was precisely to avoid questions like this.

Prog 1196 was published in 1999, when the editor was David Bishop.

Prog 1208 was published in August 2000. At some point during 2000, Bishop was replaced by Andy Diggle. So it may indeed have been two different teams.

Actually that reminds me of Mother Earth: crap story, but brilliant art. Waste of his talent, but shows you what we are missing by not giving him another one.

He  should do a six- or eight-part Dredd story: no chief judges or anything topical that might date it, so that he can take as long as he likes to finish it.

I suspect these will all be relatively new stories, which is a shame, as there are some really good old stories from the annuals in the 1980s, like "Tarantula."

'We shouldn't have to queue like this. We're tax-payers.'

Well, to be fair they pay VAT on their fags.

Oh for god's sake. How TF could LUNGS be made of PAPER????!!!

They are "bionic" or "carbon fibre," according to the stories. Get over it.
