I concur with my colleagues above: the Advent Calendar is a wondrous thing and definitely one of the highlights of the year. The degree of creativity, dedication and imagination demonstrated by the participants is always heart-warming and uplifting!

Megabus: please don't end Bad Crop because I'm enjoying it and I really want to know what happens next!

Quaaaaxxan... You don't have to put on the red light...

(This is, I'll admit, dirty earworm tactics to make you all pronounce it like I do.)

That's how I pronounce it too...
P.S.: Beat you to that joke by ten years!

My wife and I were there too! It's a great documentary - definitely on the must-buy list!

And it was fantastic to finally meet Kevin O'Neill, too. I admit that I went over all fanboyish and blathered incoherently at him for a few minutes. I don't think he minded!

As I mentioned today on my Facebook page and Tumblr thingy, I'll be running a Kindle Countdown Promotional deal for this book...

Starting this Saturday at 8am (midnight PST), for the following 24 hours the price will be a mere £0.99 (US$1.99), after which it'll increase on a daily basis until it reaches the normal price on Wednesday.

So, if you've been dithering over whether to buy the book, the Countdown Deal is the opportunity for which you have been waiting! Go on - treat yourself!

P.S.: If anyone has any good ideas on other ways to promote the book, please let me know!

James Bacon interviews me on the Dublin2019 blog about Judge Dredd: Blood of Emeralds.

Dublin2019 is a bid to bring Worldcon to Dublin in 2019 - lots of great stuff on the site!

Is this the one I bought at Cardiff a couple of years back but with a different cover. I'm just wondering, as you said there was a limited run a few years back!

Hi John,

Yep, that's the one! It never went beyond that limited edition, for reasons that I've never really understood!

Cheers,
Mike

Getting it next week. :) plugged it in my Razorjack review ;)

Thanks, Bat King! (For what it's worth: the 8-page Razorjack strip at the back of John's GN isn't my only contribution to that book: I also rewrote pretty much all the dialogue and captions!)

Cheers,
Mike
