Nice, I also had a Being John Malkovich style poster in mind for Dibworthy.

Not a published Future Shock, though I did have a whole script I submitted and got rejected (I think the cod Raymond Chandler wasn't particularly great). Each page ended with the exclamation mark 'calling card' at another crime scene. I plan to submit a better version at some point, or see if other writers would like to have a go.

Nice ass work.

I'm working on something - however, it's about Future Shocks in general rather than one specific one, still acceptable?

General / Venezuela - here come the judges...

Battalions of black-clad, helmeted riot police are now riding motorbikes, while shooting at protesters from their bikes. Good to see 2000AD's influence is still strong as far away as South America. I guess we all thought though that when it finally happened it would be a right-wing regime:

Some great entrys there and a worthy winner. I struggled to find an angle so voting was already underway when I came up with this idea. I pretty much hated trying to use Fabry's impossibly good pages as reference for the characters.

Well done to the winners, and thanks to anyone who hat-tipped mine - after a distinct lack of likes I thought perhaps my prostate-themed image was too subtle. In case it's not obvious, the 'doctor' is supposed to be PJ Maybe in an earlier guise.

Of course religion is intentionally mixed up with cultural identity and race, with religions building themselves as a pillar in your life from a young age so that even if you have independent beliefs, leaving the fold will make you feel a calamitous hole if your world (the 'Ghostly Hole' as Rory McGrath put it), or more overtly, make you lose your friends and family.

Perhaps it's well-known but have there ever been Judges in Dredd's world from southern states where fascists took over, who's uniforms involve white pointy helmets? It seems too obvious to have not happened yet.

Got it here, though the image tag doesn't seem to be working for me today.

It's true - myself and PJ had our work accepted n the same day. Now, he's a highly demanded full-time comics illustrator and I'm... er... anyway, glad everyone likes the mock cover, I decided to give Halo a cat though it did turn out quite ripper-like. Perhaps there should be a different category for established droids so they can have a go without feeling bad? A devilishly (no that isn't a clue) topical theme coming up for the next one.
