I'm adding myself to the received issue 1 and nothing else except the poster but no charge on my account either so thats happy on one side and sad on the other. Lets hope if it is rolled out in January they have improved their service by then.

Isn't Luke Kirby another rights minefield ?

Yep. Wouldn't hold your breath for that one — I very much doubt that Rebellion thinks there's enough pent-up demand for a Summer Magic reprint to justify getting legal advice and moving forward from there…

From McKenzie's own website: "Everything you need to know about the Galaxy's Greatest Comic. Sadly, they include Luke Kirby amongst the properties they own, when it's actually my copyright."

Cheers

Jim

I didnt know about this so thanks, we will all have to rely on the progs to re-read this one then.
It is curious as to which strips cause such copyright issues, wasnt Zippy Couriers another legal minefield?

Just as well this isnt the 'I would like this strip reprinted in a trade please Tharg' thread

I'd throw 'Silo' into the mix here, very atmospheric art from Dave D'Antiquis and also for the art alone 'Glimmer Rats' which I was happy to find the collected hardback in a 2nd book shop on holiday for a bargain $4.
Also surprised no-one has mentioned Luke Kirby, hated it at the time but re-read it recently and its a cracking read.

Well I never read Zenith before, I arrives to 2000AD late. So good worth to get?

Yes, it's fantastic.

Definately. Its also interesting to see 2000ad do the cape and cowl type superhero.

I didnt realise you had to have such lawyer like attention to the press release.

So in summary, I am now a little bit jealous of the new editions, lacking in attention to detail and pretty stupid for not knowing what everyone else did about the collected Zenith edition. Thanks for the education folks

Skullmo, I wouldnt even swap you it for a guest stint on the Inky Fingers podcast!  ;)

Argh, just a little jealous I forked out for the complete edition now after reading that!
Only a little, I imagine? I suspect anyone with one of those in good condition could easily enough sell it on eBay and get enough for it to pay for the complete set of new hardbacks.
When the complete edition was announced , most squaxx thought it would never be re-published so lumped in for a very expensive book....only for a few weeks later to hear about these editions. Saying that I'm happy with my edition (and wouldnt run the ebay gauntlet on it) but love the larger format for any 2000AD book so a little disappointed for myself....but pleased for those who waited.
It'll teach me next time to not be so impatient!

Never worry Spikes, us real readers can wait until the prog is delivered to the shops, just like when we were lads. We don't need any of this elitist getting the prog early thingy. Z
Subscribers are real readers too, just so happens we may not have a good thrill merchant nearby, its not cos we're posh, like, innit.

Hand on heart- did anyone really twig it?

Yep. And I'm normally a bit rubbish at spotting twists!

Cheers

Jim

Well I didn't see that coming!

Eh? since when did Dredd's bionic eyes have square iris'? Looking back at CoTD, Ron Smiths excellent squeamishly picture of the docs preparing Dredd's eyes in those little plastic bags leads one to believe they are just like normal eyes.
