Sorry to hear this. Always enjoyed Nigel's clean and distinctive line and 56 is way too soon. Rest easy Nigel, you will be remembered as long as thrill power prevails.

Interesting topic - I'm sure we all have metal shot cuts or escapes that we go to - consciously or subconsciously.

As some of you know I've had heart issues and I'm sure a lot of it can be controlled mentally. Whether it's an anxiety thing I don't know but I've had palpitations that have gone away by me actively not focusing on them. I've mentioned this to my cardiologist who looked at me like I was mental. He clearly thinks it's all physiological but there is definitely a mental aspect. I'm not saying I have the Medusa Touch but I'm sure I could engineer a heart episode by thinking about it and similarly can turn one off by taking my mind to other places. Weird!

I'd colour myself as a moderate fan. First series great - second not so much. Last a bit flabby and self indulgent.

That said I'm staying at the Great Northern in September - The Salish Lodge and Spa. And yes, they do damn fine cherry pie!

Fair enough - self-pimping is a noble art in the creative world. I'd have maybe made it clear in the review that it's your work and you're proud of it rather than talking about it in the third person leaving the potential purchaser open to confusion.

I will buy and  find out the whole tooth, er, truth.

I think  varies based on the item and your usage of the site.

I normally allow about 20% in total for both. That along with their insistence on free postage means I rarely use the platform any more.

You got him a £2.29 Kindle sale - I'll report back later!

I'm sure a lot of terms will be covered in Roger's Profanisaurus but have get to find 'ghost shit'. It's one I often utter when I walk into an ostensibly clean toilet cubicle at work only to find the ghost shit is lurking and I'm soon enveloped in it's whiffy aura.

"Alan Holloway's script captures the personalities of the main characters very well, as well as the humour of the original strip"

Whit?! Self praise is no praise! ( I refer you to my letters thread!) I shall be purchasing said journal to find out the truth! Or was that your cunning plan all along?!

Yes, a splendid affair.

I can still make it but the wife has been given tickets to see her friend in a Eurythmics tribute act (Eurythmax) the same night and I have been roped in.

If it's afternoon refreshments I'm certainly in.

Does anyone want to get involved in a Whatsapp Group so we can keep in touch? No stalkering! If anyone wants to PM me their mobile I can set it up. Or if you have one already and didn't ask me f*ck you do let me have the deets!
