For everyone who has bought Killing Moon and the Killing Moon graphic novel, our next phase Killing Moon Rise is now live on Kickstarter!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bhuna/killing-moon-rises-issue-1

As always, written by Chris Denton, scribbles by me, coloured by Darren Stephens and lettered by Bolt-01.

It will also include the new 'Tales of Killing Moon' 6 page story, which will be illustrated by the 'King of CMYK' Darren Stephens. We all know how great Darren's art is, so you are in for a real treat. This means we are also increasing the page count per issue too.

We also have some fantastic Kickstarter rewards, including a very special limited edition print run!

As well as the standard cover and the limited edition print cover there will also be the variant wrap around cover by the amazing Alex Mines!

We have also secured the services of forum members Neil McClements (as always) Gary O'Donnell, Bolt-01 and Steven Denton to produce their fantastic artwork for the issues Killing Moon gallery.

Any support and pledges would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

The holding page is now live - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bhuna/killing-moon-rises-issue-1 so please register your interest so we can let you know when it goes live.

As always, written by Chris Denton, scribbles by me, coloured by Darren Stephens and lettered by Bolt-01.

We'll be giving the comic somewhat of a face lift with a new title logo and even our PigDog Press logo has had some cosmetic surgery, courtesy of legendary cartoonist Joe Matthews.

We also have some fantastic Kickstarter rewards planned for the launch, including a very special limited edition print run - more news on that soon.

As well as the standard cover and the limited edition print cover there will also be the variant wrap around cover by the amazing Alex Mines!

As some of you may know, over the last 5 years, myself and forum members Chris Denton (writer), Darren Stephens (colours) and Bolt-01 (lettering), with editorial help from Richmond Clements have produced the award nominated comic called Killing Moon.

We've brought all 4 issues together as a 116 page graphic novel which will include a new 4 page prequel story and the reprinting of the original Killing Moon which haven't seen the light of day since 1985!

The graphic novel is now on sale at http://www.comicsy.co.uk/pigdogpress/store/products/killing-moon-tpb/.

As well as receiving the book, you will also receive the Kickstarter stretch goals, including two funky fridge magnets and two quality A4 prints, one by artdroid Patrick Goddard and the other by the fantastic SKD.

Your support would be very much appreciated.
Cheers

Help! / I'm running the Manchester 10k in May...
24 March, 2017, 12:52:37 PM
Hi guys,

I know it's not 2000ad or comic related, but I'm running the Manchester 10k again in May.

Last year's donations really kept me focused on my training and I raised over £800 for The Christie. So thanks to the forum members who donated, you're bloody marvelous!

This year, I'm running for the fantastic people over at the Beechwood Cancer Care Centre in Stockport http://www.beechwoodcancercare.org.uk/ and want to try and break last years record. Isn't that what records are made for?

Beechwood is committed to providing quality support and care services not just for cancer patients and those with life limiting illnesses but also their families too.

All donations no matter how large or small as very much appreciated. You can sponsor me here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Neil-Roche3

Thanks guys xx

28 June, 2016, 03:37:51 PM
The guys over at Alternative Press and Broken Frontier are organising this years Small Press Day.

http://www.smallpressday.co.uk/

I'll be at the Travelling Man Manchester event at the Methodist church on Oldham Street via PigDog Press selling my Killing Moon comic and copies Speed Date from a few years back.

As far as I know Future Quake with Bolt-01 is at The Comic Shop in Macclesfield and then Nostalgia & Comics in Birmingham (the lad gets around)

I also think Neil McClements is at Forbidden Planet in Leicester.

If any other forum members are attending any of the other venues, please let us know.

Books & Comics / Killing Moon by PigDog Press
23 May, 2015, 05:06:28 PM
If you follow me on FaceBook or Twitter you'll know I've been working under the radar a bit on a personal project which I first mentioned on the forum way back in 2012
http://forums.2000adonline.com/index.php/topic,37656.0.html

After being stuck in a bit of stuck in development hell for a while things are really starting to come together.

Killing Moon issue 1 will be launched at Thought Bubble this November through PigDog Press (which is me!)

The creative team consists of forum members:
Writer: Chris Denton
Art: Bhuna
Colour: Darren Stephens
Lettering: Bolt1
Editor: Richmond Clements
Art Editor: Bolt1

It will also be featuring guest illustrations by some of the UK's top Small Press artists. The ones I've received are absolutely stunning
Neil McClements
SKD
Steve Austin
Wooley
Conor Boyle
Matt Soffe

Feedback I've had is that it's a bit like the old Fighting Fantasy books without having to jump back and forth with the pages, which I'm really happy with.

I've held back on posting any visuals so not the give the plot away, but here's something to whet your appetite.

Any support would be really appreciated.

Help! / Laptop advice
04 December, 2014, 03:42:15 PM
I'm looking at getting a new laptop for Mrs Bhuna and what to know if any of you techi guys can recommend a good make (decent chassis, firm keys etc). I'm looking at something with about 6-8 gig of ram too. The budget is around £300-£400

Dear hivemind,

I've thinking of popping my 'ink cherry' by getting a McMahon Dredd tattoo on the top of my arm!

I seen to remember that Mike did a number of cracking fanzine covers (BEM, Fantacy  Express etc) back in the day.

Has anyone got any scans of any 'old school' McMahon Dredds (prog or fanzine covers/full length pose/splash image) that they could send me?

Or does anyone have any suggestions??

Help! / ipad alternative tablet
15 December, 2013, 07:38:59 PM
I'm looking at maybe purchasing a tablet but the cost of an iPad is wayyyy out of my league.

So the question is, is there an alternative tablet that people would recommend. Is a Kindle HD any cop and what's the Samgung Note like, because I haven't got a bleeding clue?

The budget is between £200 to £250.
