Episode 96 and Brian Doob is back in the book club to discuss Big Finish and their audio adaptations of two Doctor Who stories by Pat Mills and Dave Gibbons. It’s a fun chat about a couple of great audio plays..

If Jim Campbell is here I wonder could you tell us a bit more about using the Tom Frame style of lettering on Spector? I’m no expert and I’m curious what changes you had to make to pay tribute to his “hand”.

Genuine query.

Can someone enlighten me as to who the geezer at the end of Kingmaker is? Have we seen him before?

It’s the spirit form of Ichnar the Wraith King, so that’s Sauron whose physical body was defeated by the fellowship heroes and now lives on as some sort of ethereal force.

1986, oh my goodness, what a year!

Best writing. Alan Moore for Halo Jones book 3
Best art. Ian Gibson on Halo Jones book 3
Best overall thrill. Halo Jones book 3
Best month. April for the last episode of Halo Jones

Now cross out all my answers and put Wagner/Grant/Ezquerra and Rage! instead. It's so close. Can you award a joint Spinny?

Cheers, Guys. Yup we're on the road to 100.  :o

And here is Damian's first grail page. Sam Slade is back in the game. Words by John Wagner, art by Ian Gibson.

I met up with Damian Edwardson from ArtNineTwo at the Lawless convention to talk about Wagner and Gibson’s manic robotic creations in Robo-Hunter. The bar was noisy so I’ve done what I can with the background noise.
It’s a fun discussion that encompasses Wombles, politics, and the healing power of art, as well as robots, lots of robots.

“Slay ‘em again, Sam!”
