I wouldn't want to read a series where the writers were forbidden by the editor from ever developing the strip or its characters.

2000AD was conceived and set up to be the antithesis of the old way of doing things in comics. It has lasted for 42 years, while its predecessors have not, because it did things differently and didn't cling to the past.

Heresy! Nemesis V and VI were brilliant. The best books in the series!

American Horror Story: Asylum.

The Half Life story was perfectly good. I went off the series when Boo Cook was on it (not all because of the art) , but the one with Mike Dowling was good.

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with the character or the series, I just think the stories can be hit or miss.

Good, let's get him on a Dredd one-off!

If Anderson was 20 when we first met her in prog 150, then she'd be 59 now.

Colonel Kovert was my favourite story in the original series (unless we count Cinnabar). I'm glad to see him back. Wasn't he also in Hunted?

Pretty impressive Dredd this week. It concludes next week, and it's hard to see how.

Above average Droid Life.

Thistlebone has a good ending, but it does feel like a Terror Tale stretched out to ten episodes.

I enjoyed Indigo Prime, especially the last page, which made me think of Britain after Brexit.

Anderson finishes, and Jaegir carries on where it left off.

1596-1599.

There was also a Dave Stone novel where that happened, Wetworks.

I think I could read 100 pages of Space Dogs.

I don't want an Absolom epilogue; it would detract from this week's ending, which was perfect.

Damn shame that the subscriber prog comes with the back cover exposed...

Not really. Firstly, it would be the same if you bought it in a shop. Secondly, I think it works very well as a nice bit of misdirection. You see it, you think Harry survives and gets a happy ending, then when you read the episode you discover that he actually died, and that final page means something else entirely.

The bit about the grandkids not ageing wasn't fully explained, but there was that comment about a final twist of the knife or whatever (when they were talking about the faked photos of them ageing), so I just thought it was some nasty trick by the demons, so I didn't question it.

(It would have been even nastier if thry had aged rapidly instead and were Harry's age!
