1: Radiator.

2: Gibson Quarter.

3: MyGrimmBrother 03.

HM: Pete Wells 01.

Superb entries yet again. I always feel guilty choosing just a handful when there are so many more I could easily have picked. Well done everyone and thanks, as ever, to Jim for running things in a way that embiggens this whole forum.

The media have forgotten nothing. They're simply there to influence the public; to make us all need the latest drugs from Big Pharma, the latest cars from Big Auto, the latest shoes from Big Fashion and - most importantly of all - to keep us living in fear so that we support all these lovely Draconian laws passed by Big Brother to keep us safe. If a few innocent people suffer in the process, well, who cares about that when there's money and power involved?

Newspapers my arse.

Excellent news.

Now, how about a "print this story" petition to the Sun? Or, better to let it rest? I think that we should at least suggest that, if they're going to leave http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/ne ... rtist.html in their online archives, an update making clear the unanimous NOT guilty verdict is essential.

Just my two penn'orth.

Using the Huffington Chronology Tables (Index iv), I invoke the 141 Days rule and move directly to Mornington Crescent.

I don't really see the point in speculating on this until the case is over.

Nor do I.

I guess it's just difficult to see a person one admires, respects and even - in the case of many on this board - grew up with being brought into question by something like this.

My last post was flippant, and I sincerely apologise for that, but please let's not turn this into an "if he's guilty" thread. As far as I am concerned, at this moment he is innocent, he is a hero of mine and I support him. Period.

A tad paranoid, I think.

Gary Glitter didn't bring about the doom of vacuous pop music - more's the pity.

I've really given up expecting quality entertainment off tv, so I approach everything with a "this-is-going-to-be-mindless-and-uninspired-crap" mindset. (Even Horizon, which I used to love, now seems to be aimed at people who may have used the word "science" once in general conversation and now fancy themselves as expert commentators on the world of quantum physics or micropharmacology.) It saves disappointment and lets you watch pap like this, and even enjoy bits of it, without throwing things at the telly. A sad comment on the condescending attitude of tv producers towards the publics' levels of intelligence, but it saves hundreds of pounds in broken screens and hours writing vitriolic missives to Points of View in green crayon.

It's better to read something or even sit staring off into space for an hour than rely on tv for insight or erudition.

This was utter fluff, giggleworthy in some places and with India Whatshername to keep me mildly engaged with it. I may even watch the second episode, if I remember when it's on. And if I can be bothered lifting the remote.

He saw some UFOs and was disappointed.

He is hostile towards aliens coming to our planet.

He hates Tharg and wishes he'd had nothing to do with his creation.

He says that if you take an interest in something (UFOs, aliens, writing, Peru etc) then it will take an interest in you.

He pronounces Slaine "slain."

And that's about it, really.

Pat Mills is being interviewed about UFOs on Sky Channel 200 right now.
