People who tag their photos #nofilter.

I still don't know what the purpose of this is, but it always makes me think that they're saying "Yeah, check out my amazing photo. You might think I used filters to make it look this good, but I didn't!".

This has passed me by (I don't think any of my friends have used that hashtag) - what is it supposed to mean?

I am really loving Volume 1. I read two or three each night before I lay my head.d to rest.

How do you manage to stop at just one or two?  Or are you talking about Alien Tongues and Pyro?

Rebellion gets turned into Uprising, when you translate it into Greek and back...

I got the press release today. Working on an article at the moment.

It'll be interesting to see if I get more comments about mentioning death... I got a complaint about talking about John Cooper's recent death.

Yeah, that commenter seemed to have some strange ideas...

No liquid is undrinkable.

Might taste like shit, but it's not undrinkable.
As my secondary school physics teacher was fond of saying:

Johnny was a little boy, but now he is no more,
For what he thought was H2O was H2SO4

Or as Harry Harrison put it:
Little Lucy in the lab
Lies dead upon the floor
For what she thought was H2O
Was H2SO4

A similar tale goes thus:
Two chemists are sitting in a cafe.  The first chemist who orders first says "Could I have some H2O" while the second says "I'll have H2O2". Then the second chemist dies.

Is this the  full  year one book

...and that link is to the collected Year One stories (first two previously released as ebook-things together with a third book seeing publication for the first time).  They are not comics, and each story is written by a different author.

Also what is  judge  dredd volume 1

That link is to the collected edition of the IDW monthly Judge Dredd comic (which very few people here like...)

2 chevrons people! 2 chevrons!

Is it that frickin' hard?

Indeed it is – this always confuses me. Specifically, does it mean...

a) leave the distance between two chevrons between you and the car in front

b) make sure you can see two chevrons between you and the car in front

...ie. do the two chevrons concerned include the chevron you're on?

The following sign would be the view from the cockpit of the the car in b):

Good news (apart from having to wait nearly two years).

News / Dan Dare collected, and new Bad Company

From the Free Comic Book Day website:

Free Comic Book Day: Looking to the future of the book, is there anything you can tease about what's upcoming?

Keith Richardson: As well as many fantastic trade collections, including Dark Justice (where Judge Dredd battles his arch nemesis Judge Death) and Dan Dare – The 2000 AD Years Volume 01,  2000 AD is welcoming the return of Peter Milligan who is working on a brand new Bad Company story with Tank Girl artist, Rufus Dayglo.

Apparently still available on this very website: 2000AD Online Shop

I still had another few minutes wandering round the shop before I found it with the newspapers. Why it wasn't with the comics or the section with the Origins and Fourth Faction trades is beyond me.
Have you seen what passes for comics these days?  You wouldn't want it with all the plastic-bagged plastic-toy collections (Phoenix excepted, though I gather the only supermarket you'll see that in is Waitrose).

For all you not on facebook and missing out on his madness. Here's his latest meal ;)

Shouldn't this be in his Wot I Ate thread?

Is that before or after he ate it?  I lost about a stone when I was in hospital - no wonder!
