Good Lord, no! It was terrible, like a lot of the original explosions beset by obvious real-world scale-and-gravity problems, but it's a great testament to the power of the movie that people
think it was amazing, probably because it was
the Death Star blowing up. Much like the Yoda puppet and soundstage swamp in Empire - it's really not a great puppet or set looked at objectively, but it was
Yoda on Dagobah.
I was really just nerdily obecting to it being out of sequence in the video, and being credited to 1977 in the credits. That, and the unfortunate fact that it came out
after Star Trek VI introduced 'the Praxis wave' which rather stole its thunder. It is a terrifically watchable video, though.
