Slugwipe is the best post on this board since bumsex girl.
*tuts* what is it with you men and THAT?
To be honest, I think it's desensitisation due to over-exposure to internet porn. I've never seen the attraction myself.

The same as and i am not open minded enough to want to find out.

I feel I should add 'seagulling' to that long list of not-at-all-made-up experimental practises

What's "seagulling" then, Kate?

Kidding.  I know.  And wish I didn't.

I would just like to thank everyone for their concern at my horrible arse/mollusc experience. Are slugs molluscs? I forget.

Especially Mike, for spreading the love to Facebook!  :D

Thankfully, I am over the shock now and am not having any flashbacks of any significance. But yes, I wouldn't reccommend it to anyone.

Is seagulling the same as the Spiderman?
Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

Sorry buddy, I can take it right back down if you like.

I figured, perhaps wrongly, that if a bunch of people you didn't know were to be laughing about it, it made sense that a bunch of folks you DO know got to chuckle.  Sorry.  No offense meant.

Absolutely none taken!  :D It should stand as a warning to always keep your mind on the jobby, when wiping.

Great!

Slugs/snails are (i'm 90% sure) molluscs, and thus part of a family that's primarily marine in nature.  I had a very long lecture and practical at uni about molluscs as a result of their importance in archaeological dating techniques* (the visiting lecturer COULD have made it exciting, but no.  He just prattled on in a Richard Whitely fashion and we were all mesmerised by his snail tie-pin - the magical powers of which I attribute my not witholding a single bit of information from that lecture (and so I had to research it all from the ground up for the lab book for that unit, yay!)).

* Personally I've always preferred the strategies outlined on the bumsex girl thread.

I don't know what 'the spiderman' is and to be honest I'm too scared to consult Dr Google

Gastropods, technically. And yes, primarily marine.

Ah, told you I'd retained nothing.  My false impression about molluscs must have been the old "Molluscs Have Ruined My Life" group that sprung up unaccountably on Facebook on my uni at around the same time.

Ta for the clear up.  I remember other aspects of that unit.  But snails?  You'll be lucky.
