2000AD related comic event in Falmouth
« on: 18 October, 2013, 11:23:04 pm »
I've just been chuffed to find an article in the local paper about an event down here in Cornwall.

https://www.facebook.com/falmouthcomicartshow

Likes like some great 2k folk will be there inc Jock, Henry Flint, Dom Reardon and others.

Kicks off with a Dredd screening introduced by Jock.

I've fancied going to something like this for years.  Not missing this one.

Good to see the massive Cornish contingent are up for this one

Slightly concerned there will be tumbleweed now.

Hopefully not with the University of Arts there.

Some conventions can be soulless but others really go the extra mile to make everyone welcome, like Cardiff, Hi-Ex, Thought Bubble and I would include the Lakes in that. Yes they want and need your money to operate but they make the whole event very fan friendly.
Other events just want your money and couldn't give a shit if you queue up all day for one sketch, if you get my drift.

Oh right gottya!

Yeah hopefully so.  The organiser has already come back to welcome me there on FB. Seems very friendly and positive.

I think it will be small and friendly.  Hope so.

Pleased to see this event has been nice and busy, plenty of people there

Very friendly indeed and a great chance to meet some creators down in here in Cornwall.

Thanks to the organisers for this and thanks to the likes of Henry Flint, Jock and John Burns for coming along to it.
