I own the last page Lulu Romanov appeared in in Dante, leaving him bewildered and defeated, after the magnificent kiss the page before (some other lucky bugger owns that) in a way no man to that time had been able to. The 'acting' of all present is simply one of the wonders of this world, its a quite brilliant piece of storytelling. One of my favourite things what it is, that I have.

I remember you posting that page Colin, I'm still reeling with jealousy.
It's really something.

Apologies for slowing down lately. I'll try to pick up the pace next week!

One of the things I love about this Blog (there are many) is the fact that sometimes it makes some real face slapping points, such as...

Quote
It ran in the late 800s, and was perhaps the last in an annoyingly long line of new series that seemed intent on trying to recreate Judge Dredd.**

Now when this is said its obvious, but I've never pieced together why so many of these characters failed and what their problem was. Too many, to close together, never going to match the execution of the original anyway.

Pretty clear in hindsight, but something I'd not pieced together before, simply cos I'd not looked*, but wish I had.

*Well I say that, its quite possible I could have looked high and low and not spotted it, I'm quite sure many other get there a long time ago.

Thank you!
Not that I'd really want anyone to read it all twice, but people who've been their from the start may like to know I've been updating to fix typos and add newer pictures to old entries.

Serendipity: noun
the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.

Cliff Robinson, subject of the last post, gets a full episode in this week's thrill-mail.
Paul Marshall, subject of the next post, is back in the public eye thatnks to his Dredd epic, Darkside, being reprinted in Case Files 25.

Paul Marshal is YET another example of someone I was expecting much earlier in the chart. Seems to have been around for the longest time and always seemed to have something on the go.

As you say a very under-rated trooper for the Galaxies' Greatest.

Indeed. A much under appreciated talent and one of my favourite contributers to the galaxys greatest over the last 12 months.

But the real question still remains. What the hell happened to Samizdat Squad?!

And then a little placeholder while I get on with the next batch.

Interesting list - although very hard to read with white type on coloured backgrounds, I had to click'n'drag to highlight it before I could read it.

Same here (highlighting them to read), but fantastic insight into how little droids individually contribute, going some way to explaining by wrongheadedness in expected any number of writers and artists to appear significantly higher in the list than they do.

Which all of course means they should all bloody well pull their collective fingers out and get more Tooth work under their belts... bloody slackers!

God, that was horrible! I've managed to make it legible at least, but basically inserting tables into blogger seems to be a bad idea...

Thanks for letting me know.

As for the stats themselves, it seems the only explanation is that there really is a semi-benevolent green alien putting the Prog together by himself each week.

Writing another of my wrongs, here's Tom Tully, who should've had his slot a few weeks ago:
