Thanks, I will try!
Another hard-to-pin-down (thematically) fellow this week:
Al Ewing. Hope I've done him justice!

Not sure if my comments went through on the blogspot post - if it did the confirmation was not very conclusive, so I'll post my comment here:
It took me some time, but I eventually got the second Titan Caligula Book (with the Klegg cover by Mike).  I'm pretty sure I had the original comics the rest of the story appeared in by then, but completism.

Aardvark is looking rather like Jeremy Hardy there!

I've read that the cover came first on Supercover, with Brian having free reign, though it could have been a throwaway sentence referring to most, but not all, of the covers.

Chief Judge wise - I'd say Cal, Sidney, Owen (even if it was actually Dillon's Mutant which got the top spot), Hershey and McGruder.  I'm wondering if there have been any 'alternity' versions which put a Brian creation in the top position?

Sorry Sheridan, it hasn't come through for some reason. I don't really know my way around Blogger that well, to be honest (as if the shoddy image placement didn't give that way). Thanks for taking the time to repost your comment here!

yes, I've been browsing around it myself - I like the way it isn't just dry biographical stuff, but talks about themes and motifs and has some (very reasonable) personal opinions in as well - clearly the work of a fan, but one who's done their homework.

Keep it up!

Bit late this week, sorry!
Anyway, a real doozy of an art droid up next: Arthur Ranson

Well its interesting that Arthur Ranson came straight after Brian Bolland, two artists with such a lot of common ground. As you say both are photo-realistic in style, or seem to be until you look at what they draw. Astonishing talents, both of whose lush and exquisitely realised techniques can completely overshadow their imaginations and creative splendor.

Oh and I also firmly agreed that R*Volutiuon not being hailed as a modern classic is an utter mystery. Love that story.

Yeah both fantastic talents but you know what I might go against commonly held opinion (I'd think, could be wrong) and say I prefer AR over BB... though that's no slight to either man.
