How do I add an image/icon to my profile?

I have heard tell that I should have a "profile" link or button but I do not seem to have. I am on a Mac using Safari and Chrome. Any help anyone could offer would be much appreciated.

It should be near the top of the page, between 'search' and 'my messages' and above 'Hello JUDGE ALFISH'.  I'm on Mint and Firefox, so can't verify if this works on a Mac.
