I DO attend most MCMs for at least one day, and though admittedly they are utter shit for comic fans they have provided me with some quality experiences and made me some truly valuable friends in the cosplay community. Extremely good for certain avenues in independent productions too, like small budget movies and podcasts.

First thing make sure you wear sensible footwear as you will on your feet all day & bring your own food and water as the prices there are expensive. Once you get in go to the information desk in the middle of the excel walkway and pick up a couple of the free maps so you can plan your day and know were everything is and what time any talks are on. Don't be afraid to ask anyone for a photo or for help. Most importantly remember everyone is there for the same reason so try and relax and enjoy yourself.
