Tickets turned up this morning. Enjoyed it last year but avoided the official party thing and ended up with a big gang in one of the hotel bars.... I forget which.

Actually yeah, the dialogue is what really works for me. Makes the fantastical stuff feel real.

Same way Bendis does, tho I know a lot of people disagree, and Jonathan Hickman doesn't which is why I've gone from being mainly an Avengers fan Marvel-wise to an X-Men one with the change in writers on the main titles. Tho Al Ewings Avengers stuff kick arse.

And as has been said the couple feel like a real couple. I actually give a monkeys about them

He's actually pretty good in it... based on what I've seen anyway.

Kinda creepy, smarmy and even managing to be vaguely threatening by being really nice to everyone while its still obvious they're all terrified of him.

It may help I've never seen Torchwood though so am just impressed he isnt being FABULOUS Barrowman which I do find kinda funny to be honest

Sure there's a thread already but couldnt see one after trawling the first 8 or so pages and am too dumb to find the search option, so.....

VERY late to this but loving it. Am seven episodes in to season one and am totally hooked. Cool story, well shot action, surprisingly violent, looks great, really effective cliff hangers and reveals and loads of cool easter eggs for the nerds. They've just introduced a female character who is cool in her own right but if you know comics and recognise the name it's a great "GAAAHHHH!" moment.

Oh, and if you are that way inclined the lead guy gets his shirt off at about 10 minute intervals which my wife assures me is reason enough to watch it.

Sure most of you have seen already but if anyone is like me and missed it I'd recommend tracking it down. Loads better than it had any right to be. Chuffed there's at least another season out there for me to chain through if the quality keeps up, and I've been told it only gets better

I really enjoyed this book too... probably as I had an ex who was WAY into all this stuff so I was forced to sit through at least two episodes of Pride and Prejudice and it was like someone reached into my head and plucked out one of the many "How could they make this vaguely interesting" scenarios.

Could make for a great film if the humour/horror mix is done well

Well I love it and.... um.... I dont know really.

It just feels really different from anything else I'm reading. I actually give a shit about most of the characters which is a big deal as I have pretty much zero empathy (unless things on the internet offend you of course then I FEEL your immediately tweeted pain). The art is fucking stunning. And possibly it's because I really don't know where it's going but desperately want to find out month to month.

Playing Marlow Briggs which is currently 79p
Very much a console game and probably a God of War rip off, but as I havent got a console or played God of War I'm really enjoying it

Def worth the price of a can of coke anyway

Bought three more at about 3am this morning  :-\

E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy, Urban Trials and Papers Please.
EYE looks like a pretty basic FPS but it was only 69p. Trials looks like a poor mans Trials Evolution but again, only 69p so what the hell. Papers Please was £2, played about an hour so far. Different but kinda addictive

£12 of my £50 sale budget gone but I got six games for that so pretty happy so far

I did a podcast thing with Keith and Pye of 2000AD (apologies for how f*cking pretentious I'm sure that sounds.... I wasn't any good if it helps) and they were on about the possibility of a print on demand poster service.

This would be AWESOME! You just go onlne, pick the image you want, or ideally the high res cover, and get sent a poster. Sure licencing wise it'd be messy but imagine if you had the pick of all the star scans from all the issues. Not just the Fay Dalton Anderson which I really want on my wall either

Been told the Fables one is amazing too. Read the first five or six graphic novels as the wife bought them and they were brilliant. I'm hoping the game turns up cheap. Wolf Among Us I think.

Oh, and played a bit of Octodad. Fucking mental but fun.
Also done about half hour of Blood Dragon which is cool but I'm kinda smarting about having to sign up and play through UPlay when I bought it on Steam.

Yeah, I'm keeping an eye out for the skyrim DLC as well as the the two Batman Arkham Origins ones

As for skyrim mods, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/
but sure you knew that anyway

Failed badly today with two purchases....
Octodad, which just looks loads of fun and Euro Truck Simulator 2 as guys in work raving about it and every review says it's way more fun than it should be. So as it was only £2, sod it.

So a tenner of my £50 birthday vouchers spent, three games got.

This obviously before 6 tonight when ALL NEW stuff goes on sale  :/

Ah, there's no point in doing these now. All the coolest kids already got one

Already caved with one purchase.... Far Cry : Blood Dragon. Pretty chuffed with that for £2.99
