Improvised comedy where a minor celeb accompanies DI Sleet (Tom Davis) in solving the murder of a celebrity.

Has a bit of an Adventure Game vibe, mixed with Toast of London.

Worth a look.

ICE appears to have shifted to June and from Birmingham to Brighton (unless they're running another one in Birmingham at another date in the year)

I went to the 2015 Brum con and it was a great comic only con.


Seems to be a year for shifting things around, TB moving to End of September (and is or isn't moving from the RA), LSCC into the kiss of death August Bank Holiday, and NICE being rested.

Carlos will be back at the UK con scene for this one, along with John Wagner.

Pixologic are launching a stripped down version called Zbrush core later this month.

Not sure on pricing yet, but Wacom are launching an intuos tablet with ZBrush Core bundled for $199.

I've not watched it yet, but the games documentary Bedroom to Billions has popped up on Netflix.

I'd not seen many free/open source video editors.

This popped up on my timeline, if anyone needs something along these lines.

I just caught the remake/tribute to Are You being Served? on iplayer - I have a bit of a soft spot for the dramas about period film/tv that often pop up on BBC Four - so I was curious as to how this would work.

I must admit it did make me laugh a couple of times, although I'm sure Jason Watkins was playing Mr Humphries even camper than John Inman.

The innuendo was cranked up to 11, and it was fully Finbarr Saunders with pussy jokes by the end.

I don't think I've seen it mentioned here, but Stranger Things has been getting a few mentions online.

I enjoyed it a lot,  pretty much a Spielberg/Joe Dante/Stephen King/John Carpenter supergroup homage.

I'm not sure how much of the enjoyment is the 80s nostalgia, but it's a fun watch.
