I haven't seen a copy of this in hardback but not to say there aren't any - just seems a bit late in the day.
Further to the issues you have already mentioned, The Cursed Earth Part 1 also comes in a Titan hardback.

I personally have no problem with the way it ended. The Bongo Wars (was it?) provided a neat way to wrap things up and was efficient and effective if you ask me.
