Wow

That Dredd story was a corker, fantastic stuff and hopefully an introduction to an interesting recurring character, but an absolute belter of a strip. A+ go to the top of the class

Glad you liked the Dredd story - and it shows that those who say you need to be familiar with forty years of 2000AD continuity to have enjoyed it were wrong!  The reason for that is because Bunky is
Nelson Bunker Kreelman - a character who first appeared around Prog 200 (200, not 2000) and is the father of Johnny Alpha, and we found out about in Portrait of a Mutant.  The collection I linked to also has a follow-up story which I won't say anything about.
So - you can't post links in spoilers then (and I haven't been given any option to edit).

Ah, thank you for taking the time to explain that to me Sheridan much appreciated

Last few times I have been its cost £6 to get in with your glass or a £10 and you get three tokens to use on your first few purchases

I shall be there sampling the goods and eating my fill of bratwurst...marvellous stuff

Two for me this week

First was Animosity 5 still really enjoying this and feel that the creators have really came up with something that can be taken in almost any direction. Very good stuff and as always building and growing very nicely

Unfollow 16 man oh man Rob Williams has written something very special here, a great issue and you get the feeling that it's coming to a head now

Tales From The Black Museum I do enjoy when they appear as they remind me of the Tales From The Crypt I used to love reading and watching on the telly

Anderson was a good one this week no complaints

Lawless is its usual faultless self for me

Just need to read the floppy now

Kingmaker still really enjoying this, hopefully setting up the classic rag tag group against all the odds scenario...I'm a sucker for those

Then Edginton is your one-stop shop! (Brass Sun, Red Seas, Helium, Stickleback, current Scarlet Traces...)

Ah, thank you.

I have read the most recent Brass Sun strips and what to get the collected editions so I can get a better understanding of the story and the characters

I have read all the scarlet traces so far and it's an epic story, though I feel that the first one is an absolute cracker and the pick of the bunch so far

And sadly I haven't read any of the others you have mentioned yet...but I will

Wytchwood Hobgoblin and Hobgoblin Gold are nice

I think it's a Williams Brothers one but Joker IPA is also really nice if you enjoy a more hoppy taste

Another cracking prog, it's on a fantastic run at the moment

Dredd is brilliant with art and storytelling in perfect harmony, superb stuff and I cannot wait to see how it plays out next week

Kingmaker still really enjoying this, hopefully setting up the classic rag tag group against all the odds scenario...I'm a sucker for those

The Order not lost me yet so all good, still on board and can't ask for more than that from a strip that has lost me before in the past

Kingdom yeah this is good stuff

Now in the past Sinister Dexter hasn't always struck home with me for some reason but after having read the floppies from the meg recently I really enjoyed this outing. Thought it was a fun story

All in all another cracker and roll on next week for even more

Film & TV / Re: Last movie watched...

Just seen the Lego Batman movie and I have to say it was superb

Probably my favourite batman movie now, the guys involved just got it perfectly for me with his character. A total joy to watch

Still has all the zaniness from the Lego movie, I heartily recommend it

I hate saying too much about a film if some people haven't seen it yet but very good and very enjoyable

And it gets even better!!!!  :)

That's good news as I am tempted to get stuck into Case Files Vol 3 straight away

I've been really enjoying this myself, like the art work on it bit of a different look to Dredd seems more youthful to me but I don't mind it

Story has been good so far just a bit disappointed that it's a long wait till the next issue

Other Reviews / Judge Dredd Case Files Vol 2
09 February, 2017, 08:33:56 AM
just finished reading this on my way into work this morning and wow what a collection this was

Started off with The Cursed Earth Saga and the action never let up from there

The Cursed Earth Saga was brilliant and interesting to see more of  the world building that went on out with Mega City 1 at the time. A great character in Spikes and fun to see his character change over the course of the story line, also hints of a character from the magnificent seven (Harry Luck) with him at the end.

Then from that straight into The Day The Law Died and this was magnificent with the tyrant Cal and his crazed rule of Mega City 1, the Kreegs being introduced and some of my favourite side characters so far with deputy chief judge fish and judge schmaltz. Superb stuff and got the real feeling of the desperate situation and the dangerous unpredictable Cal

The stories afterwards were good and alright but to be fair couldn't really compete with the epic stories that went before

All in all a superb read

The prog continues its great run

Dredd is cracking on and it's a great read. Especially liked Dredds one liners at the start of the strip about how he manipulated the situation

Kingmaker I have been really enjoying and this is another good one and i can't wait to see what it is setting up

Kingdom a bit like kingmaker in that this issue was more about building something up to pay off in the next issue so looking forward to that but still good stuff

The Order almost started to lose me a bit this week but had me back on board by the end so it's still getting the big ticks from me

Future Shock I liked, enjoyed the idea behind it and it worked for me

Another topper for me, Tharg sure is nailing them out the park

Love commando but the man that steals the show for me is Vernon Wells as Bennett

He gives a great performance and looks like Freddie Mercury pumped up on steroids, superb stuff

This week it was Transformers Lost Light 2

Formerly known as Transformers More Than Meets The Eye but had to change name due to a new cartoon show...I think

I have been enjoying this comic as Roberts can blend comedy and drama really well. This issue is all about setting up future plot points I feel so be interesting to see how it all plays out eventually

The only thing is Milne isn't doing the art at the moment so it's taking a wee while to adjust to the new artist, not that it's bad in anyway but just a bit different but I am sure I'll get used to it before long

Prog / Re: Prog 2016 - Texas Hold 'em!

Another great prog

Really like the cover, bright and colourful

Dredd is going along nicely, change in the artist is conflicting as I was loving the art before but Flint doing Dredd is never a bad thing

Kingmaker Iam really enjoying, continues to be a joy to read

Hope is still blowing me away, sad to see its taking a break but at least it ends on a cracking cliffhanger.

The Order still has me hooked and on board

Kingdom is one of my new favourites so I enjoyed this

All in all another top notch prog

Loved all the strips and can't wait for next week
