Hi board chums.

Due to space issues, I'm having to get rid of my entire collection of 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine.

I have a complete collection of 2000 AD from prog 1300 - present, and Megs from 4.14 (27th August 2002) - present.

All in good condition and complete with variant covers (where applicable), and all Meg floppies present.

Not sure if I want to start selling off little chunks. I'd rather get rid of the lot all at once to be honest. Also not sure how much they're worth, so realistic offers considered.

I live in Keighley, West Yorkshire and due to the large amount of Thrill Power, they'd need to be collected.

Let the tumbleweeds commence!

Cruel.

14 Jul 2016 - Monster
192 pages

"For all of his young life, Kenneth had been plagued by a feeling that there was something horrific dwelling in his house of secrets. But he had to know what was up there. He had to know what had killed his dad. And now he would face the horrors behind the attic door..."

Kenneth and his Monster chum look like they're doing a dance routine on that cover.

What a guy.

I'm so very, very excited right now but don't want to get my hopes up too much.

Guys!
Guys!!
HEY GUYS!!!

MEZOLITH volume TWO is finally up for pre-order at Amazon UK (again)!

Archaia, 96 pages, 13th September 2016.

Let's hope it doesn't fall through again this time!

"It is true that we are all children of mother Red Hand, but you are Kansa - and the honor ofthe Kansa is at stake. Don't let it be said that you lack courage!"

10,000 years ago, the Kansa tribe live on the eastern shores of Stone Age Britain, where danger is never far away. Step by step, Poika's journey into manhood continues - caught in a mesh of tribal hunts, gatherings, and feasts determined by the waxing and waning of thirteen moons.

But he's not alone. Greed, appetite, and desire dance under watchful eyes in the shadows. The boundary between the real and imagined worlds blur as more and more of the Kansa cosmology is revealed in the dreams, nightmares, and ancestral beauty of Mezolith."

Absolutely brilliant. I had no idea this was in the works and I'm very excited.

Volume one is fantastic and it's a big favourite with my kids too.

The mini-drone bug is not real. Yet....

Zootropolis may not be a classic on the level of Toy Story or the Incredibles, but it's thoroughly enjoyable and makes its points well throughout, without letting them get in the way of the story or the fun. The animation is beautiful and the design is frankly, depressing. Why does the real world look so crap? Can't we make cities with 7 different ecosystems? Or at the very least, trains with a viewing platform!? Animals do it better it seems.

Amazed at some of the (albeit tiny) backlash I saw where people thought it was too heavy handed in its moral message.

[edit just to say: Tordels said the stuff I missed out much better.]

All the way through the film I couldn't stop wondering what the tame carnivores actually eat...

Well I'm absolutely loving Realm of the Damned.

Just as I can enjoy a thoughtful, arthouse cinema thinky-fest one day and a gory, expoitative shlock flick the next, I have zero problem wallowing in blood, swearing and tits in the beautifully drawn world that Alec Worley and Pye Parr are creating.

It's by far the best creator owned strip to appear in the Meg to date.

Turns out that a teaser for Rogue One has made its way out to t'internet....think its been out a while though, and is probably faked:

Unfortunately, it looks like it's another fecking Death Star involved.

The film is about a rebel faction stealing the plans for the first Death Star which end up hidden in Artoo in A New Hope.

Classifieds / Enormous quantity of progs/Megs
15 January, 2016, 02:10:02 PM
I've been toying with the idea for a while and have now come to the decision to get rid of my collection of progs and Megs due to space issues, and also the fact that I buy the GN colections of anything I want to re-read.

I have a complete collection of 2000 AD from prog 1300 onwards, and the same for the Meg from that same week (can't remember the number).

I live in Keighley, West Yorkshire and they'd need to be picked up from my house.

I am looking to sell, but don't really know what they're worth, so I'm open to offers.

Message me with any offers if you're interested.

Cheers.

I was just looking at this thread when my eleven year old son happened to look and see the massive posts dissecting every detail.

He pities you all. "Oh my God. These are all mega Star Wars nerds"

Just to reiterate, an eleven year old boy thinks you're all taking it too seriously.

Really sorry but I'm going to miss my slot. Going through some heavy stuff at home and haven't found time.

I'll see if I can fit something in later.

That Mr. Spock Beastie Boys reference is nothing.

The opening lyrics to Ch-Check it Out are -

All you Trekkies and TV addicts
Don't mean to dis, don't mean to bring static
All you Klingons in the fucking house
Grab your backstreet friend and get loud

...and they're all dressed in OT uniforms in the video -

Thinking that Luke/Finn and Kylo are it as far as guys with lethal melee weapons is foolish.

That's it. OUTSIDE NOW.

And bring your electric stick with you.

I wonder why the Stormtroopers are equipped with this new lightsabre fighting gear when the jedi have been extinct for 30 years and there only seem to be 2 lightsabres left in the galaxy, one of them being wielded by their boss.

Isn't it set thirty years after ROTJ and so lots of Jedi scum would have been born infecting the Universe with their 'justice' nonsense?

According to the trailer, the Force, jedi and the dark side have all faded into myth, suggesting that there are no jedi about these days.
